Boy there is a lot of emotion here, not only for the teams involved in the finals,

but for me in picking the winners. There are some teams I'd like to see win

because I personally like the coaches and players and only wish the best for them.

However that's not what this is about. Right?

Four teams make their first appearance ever at the finals, Clarkston, East Kentwood,

Oakland Christian and South Christian. Good luck to them!

Division 1 - Troy Athens - 2:30 p.m.
East Kentwood (24-1-1) vs. Clarkston (18-3-3)

EK has a strong team and their youthful desire should get them through. They just need to slow down (stop) the hot scoring

Oliver Kupe or Clarkston takes home their first ever Finals title.

Division 2 - East Kentwood Crestwood MS - 2:30 p.m.
Hudsonville Unity Christian (23-0-1) vs. Dexter (21-3-2)

Unity Christian does not like to loose. The boys (and girls) are traditional powerhouses, proven winners at this time of the season.

That won't change now. The UC boys have not been this far for several years and their eleven seniors want this title. Dexter will

try hard to defend their title but ....

Division 3 - East Kentwood Crestwood MS - Noon
Detroit Country Day (18-4-4) vs. Grand Rapids South Christian (21-2-1)

Just because the rankings have overlooked SC doesn't mean Country Day will. The boys from Beverly Hills (not Birmingham)

played a great schedule and lost to top ranked D1 teams. That was good experience that should pay off now. However SC

has eight seniors that would love to take back to Grand Rapids, their first State Championship.

Division 4 - Troy Athens - Noon
Muskegon Western Michigan Christian (21-1) vs. Auburn Hills Oakland Christian (21-5)

WMC is back and itching to win this one. They have a history of winning here, 2003 & 2004 come to mind. They'd like to add

to that. Oakland goes to their first ever finals match and will have to pull out every trick in the book to defeat the Warriors.
