Birmingham United F.C. is seeking a quality soccer coach with a minimum U.S.S.F. “C” license. Coach will be working with ex-pros in a very enjoyable soccer environment. The club plays in the Michigan Premiere and M.Y.S.L. leagues and would prefer a coach that can work with teams year-round, but will also consider seasonal coaches. The St. Joe Kickers Club is looking for veteran men's teams (30 and over) to participate in their annual Summerfest Soccer Tournament to be held at their club's fields on Sat., Aug. 2, 2008. The entry fee is $50. Last year the tournament featured teams from Flint, Kalamazoo, South Bend, as well as the host German-American side. Teams are guaranteed three 40-minute games with "summer rules" (no offside). Games begin at 10:00am with the championship in late afternoon. Dinner and dancing follow (a traditional polka band in the club's dance hall and a blues band in the beer garden).
