Less than two minutes later McCausey hit Kyle Wheatley with a pass that he buried in the goal. The Owls took a 3-0 lead a minute later when Josh DeOrnellas flipped a Direct Free Kick into the box that McCausey headed into the back of the net. Tawas came roaring back when Talal Abadallah put them on the scoreboard just nine seconds later. Before Oscoda could recover Tawas cut the lead to 3-2 when Kyle Stonehouse scored at the 11:41 mark. Oscoda found the net at the 15:28 mark when Brenden Eberhardt finished an Anthony Alderete pass. Oscoda built their halftime lead when Wheatley bent a ball over a Tawas wall from a Free Kick at the 34:02 mark.
Alderete nailed two goals for the Owls at 51:08 and 56:39. Wheatley picked up the assist on the first goal and Evan Dennis earned the second assist. The Braves managed a final goal when Andrew DiFilippo netted the ball at 74:30.

Having a week off between games seemed to have an effect on the Railsplitters for a good portion of the first half. They controlled the play of the game, but seemed unable to find the right connection to get past a strong Venture team. Play was back and forth until 5 minutes into the 2nd half when Jimmy Vanhorn made a great run from his outside back position to set up a nice cross and finish by Connor Smith. The Railsplitter defense was the key. Outstanding game by Evan Kohler, Joel Yankey, Scott Chatfield and Jimmy VanHorn insured the victory for Lincoln. Woodhaven 4 - Melvindale 2
The Warriors of Woodhaven took all three points from their trip to Melvindale for a Downriver League game. The Warriors were not really free wheeling tonight, possibly because of a long game delay. Their offensive punch was missing for quite a while and the fortified Melvindale defense made it tough for them to penetrate the 18 yard box. Despite the bulk of possession, there were very few quality opportunities but credit must go to a very determined opponent. HT 0-0. Second half, it was the host Melvindale who were first on the score board. This happened as the Warriors kicked off to start the second half. Very weird goal indeed. The Warriors passed back to their midfield, who in turn dummied it for the next player who passed it back to a defender....not accurate enough and as the ball went back towards the their own goal, a mis-communication between the keeper and a defender allowed a Cardinal player to get his foot on it and put the ball in the net for their lead. There was 27 seconds on the clock. The Warriors began to take control and tied the game at the seven minute mark when Mario Konja scored. This was followed by another at the 11 minute mark when Josh Dwornick scored. A little relief for the Warriors. Woodhaven scored number three at the 28 minute point of the half when Tony DiResta scored after breaking through the Cardinal defense and catching the keeper's left side. This was a assisted by Mario Konja. At the 38 minute spot, Merrick Konja received the ball from Daniel Scipione on the right wing and chipped the ball over the keepers head to give the Warriors some breathing room. The Cardinals pulled one back with less than a minute left to play to reduce the deficit to two goals. Credit to the Cardinal team. They worked hard and never gave up and while never really dangerous, they were able to shut the Warriors offense down. Excellent performances from Warriors players, John Mertic, Daniel Scipione and Nick Foggia. The Warriors season record stands at 5-1-0 in the DRL and 6-1-0 o/all. Melvindale are 3-2-0 in DRL
