Dexter 2 - Laingsburg 0
Dexter High School Men's Soccer Team finds itself in the State Finals again.  They defeated Laingsburg tonight 2-0 with the first goal coming off a cross by Ian St. Pierre to Ethan Rickelman who put it away.  This was followed a few minutes later with a goal by Ryan LeMasters who returned to play in tonight game after being injured in early September.   Scott Santoro is credited with the shut out in goal.

Auburn Hills Oakland Christian wins State semi-finals in a great game against Ann Arbor Greenhills. Game was tied at half-time, with both teams having several good scoring chances. Senior Jon Wilkie received a great ball wide from Caleb Stanko and turned the corner to score the winning goal for Oakland Christian. OCS's goal keeper, Kramer Everett, made 9 saves in the game to secure the win for the OCS. OCS moves on to the State Finals for Division 4, to be played on Sat at noon in Troy at Troy High School.

Country Day 1 - Macomb Lutheran North 0 (OT)
Nick Prys scored in the 1 overtime assisted by Ben Weinstein. Justin Fragnoli earned the teams 17th shutout of the season. Country Day will advance to the state semifinal game with a record of 21-5-1.

OCS wins the Regional final for Region 15-4, lead by the Stanko brothers, with Jacob Stanko and Caleb Stanko each scoring (2) goals. Mitchell Dale scored OCS's first goal, with Jon Wilke getting one of his (2) assists in the game. Additional assists went to Mitchell Dale, John Radcliff and Chris Perrin. Kramer Everett was OCS's goal keeper, recording his 16th shut out of the season. OCS's overall season record in now 22-3. OCS moves on the State semifinal on Wednesday night.

October 23rd

Laingsburg 2 - Mason 1
Laingsburg Wolfpack wins Region 7 final by defeating Mason 2-1. Mason struck first with Ryan Thelen's shot that deflected off of a Wolfpack defender and by the keeper with about 5 minutes left in the first period. Laingsburg's John Brown scoring the tying goal early in the second period off the direct kick from Ryan Hannah. Ian Milligan scored the game winner off the Lucas Rocha assist.  Laingsburg/Bath is 16-5-2 on the season and play in the State Semi-Finals on October 29th at Bloomfield Hills Andover versus the Region 6 winner. The region 6 final is between Birmingham Seaholm and Dexter and will be played on October 25th @ 6:00pm at Bloomfield Hills Andover. Laingsburg Shots on Goal: 4. October 22nd

Regional Scores

Harbor Beach 2 - Liggett 1 (2 OT)
Oakland Christian Region 15-4 Semi Final. Liggett opened the scoring early in the first half on a goal by John Fisher, Harbor Beach tied the game with 17:30 to go in the second half on a goal from Christian Bender. Harbor Beach converted on a corner kick 3:51 into the second overtime on a goal from Dustin Mazure. Harbor Beach will move on to face Oakland Christian in the finals on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Birmingham Seaholm 1 - Riverview 0
Birmingham Seaholm came out fast in the Division 2 Regional Soccer game Wednesday night against Riverview. Thor Eriksen scored 1:40 into the game off an assist by Chris MacKenzie. But Riverview did not give up, and gave Seaholm a run at the end of the game. Maples goalkeeper, Jentzen Mehl, recorded another shutout. Seaholm will play the winner of St Clair Shores Lakeview vs. Dexter, on Saturday October 25.

Ann Arbor Greenhills 3 - Lutheran Westland 2
Junior Peter Jacobson scored 2 goals for D4 #1 Ann Arbor Greenhills (16-1-0), the 2nd of his goals coming with 36 seconds left in the match to break a 2-2 tie. Greenhills 1st goal came off an own goal in the 1st minute of the game. Senior Josh Kruger scored his 28th and 29th goals of the season in the 2nd half to help bring Lutheran Westland (15-6-1) back from a 2-0 half time deficit. Greenhills will move on to play the winner of the Roeper/Lansing Christian game in the Regional Final on Saturday in Jackson.

Oakland Christian 1 - Genesee Christian 0 (2OT)
In the Region 15-4 opening game, Oakland Christian's Caleb Stanko scored the winning goal at 13:44 of the 2nd OT, with an assist to Dylan Anderson. Kramer Everett recorded his 15th shut out of the season with 2 saves, and Genesee's goal keeper Philip Peavyhouse made 13 saves. This brings OCS's season record to 21-3, with the Regional final will be played at 3:00PM on Sat. at OCS.

Beverly Hills Detroit Country Day 4 - Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard 0
Adrian Wright scored 2 goals in the first half (assist by Adam Akeel & Chad Eberly). Kotaro Mitsuhashi (assisted by Brett Bukari) completed the scoring in the first half. Adam Akeel scored in the second half (assisted by Rick McCarthy). DCDS goalkeepers Justin Fragnoli and Adam Kadri recorded the teams 16th shutout of the season. Gabriel Richard completes their season with a record of 16 - 4. Country Day, ranked # 3 in Division III with a record of 20 - 5 - 1, will play # 8 ranked Macomb Lutheran North who defeated Jackson Lumen Christi by a score of 3 - 0 the other Region 10 semifinal game. The Region 10 championship game will take place on Saturday, October 25 @ Country Day at 3:00 pm.

Plymouth Christian's season ends with the record of 11-9-0. Lutheran Westland moves on to play D4 #1 Ann Arbor Greenhills in a Regional Semi-Final at Jackson on Tuesday @ 3:30pm.

St. Clair Shores Lakeview 1 - Hamtramck 0
Div. 2 District 23 Final. The Lakeview Huskies won their fourth consecutive District Championship on Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 victory over the Hamtramck Cosmos. Junior midfielder Aldi Benjkolli socred the only goal of the game at the 30 minute mark of the second half on a well taken free kick. Junior goal keeper Ryan Boren earned the shutout, his third of the tournament. Solid defensive performances were also turned in by Sophomore A.J. Harris, senior Jacob Kleisenger and senior Kevin Vorpagel. Lakeview did not concede a goal in all three games during district play. With the win Lakeview improves to 9-10-3 on the year and will advance to the regional tournament where they will play the winner of the Dexter District 20 at Bloomfield Hills Andover on Wednesday.

Notre Dame Prep forward Neal Al-Attar scored on a free kick and connected off a crossed ball just before the first half ended. Jeff Rogers (assist Kotaro Mitsuhashi) scored Country Day’s 6th goal in the second half. Notre Dame Prep completes their season with a record of 10 - 10 - 2. The Riverview Varsity Soccer Team won 4-2 against Divine Child this morning. Riverview is now 19-2-1 and will play Birmingham Seaholm in Regionals on Wednesday at 5pm at Bloomfiel Hills Andover.

In an exciting game that was played over for two days because of darkness last night. The second overtime and Shoot out was finished this afternoon with Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard beating Monroe St. Mary's Catholic Central 2-1. The Irish won the D-3, 36 district.

Northville 2 - Novi 0
Northville keeper, Jarrod Daul shut out Novi with 5 saves.  Northville's record is now 15-6-1.  Novi finishes at 11-7-3.

Roeper wins district 54-4 with a record of 12-5-3.

Oakland Christian 8 - Cardinal Mooney 0
Oakland Christian wins District 56 with a victory over Cardinal Mooney. Jacob Stanko lead OCS with an outstanding performance of (7) goals in the game, (5) in the 1st half and (2) in the 2nd. Mitchell Dale added a goal and (2) assists for OCS. Caleb Stanko and Chris Perrin had (2) assists each, and Jon Wilke added an assist too. OCS's Kramer Everett added his 14th shut out for the season, and Cardinal Mooney's keeper Andrew Beeler made 18 saves. OCS advances to Regional play next Tuesday at OCS against the winner of Burton-Genesee Christian District 57. OCS's overall season record is now 20-3-0.

Lutheran North 3 - Richmond 0
At Armanda in District 38 play, Lutheran North won the championship game by a score of 3-0. With 25 minutes remaining the score was 0-0, but sophomore James Lett, with an assist from Anthony Calibeo put in a shot from about 18 out. James Lett and Anthony Calibeo did all the scoring with James getting the 2nd goal and Anthony getting the third goal, David Sawitzky had the assist on goal number 3. Lutheran North moves on to the DCD regional with a game on Tuesday at 7:00pm.

Laingsburg 2 - St Johns 1
Laingsburg Wolfpack win District 26 final after defeating St. Johns 2-1. Laingsburg's Ryan Bray scoring the tying goal with 15 minutes left in the 2nd period and Mitchell Matzenbach scored the game winner with 3:09 left in the 2nd overtime. Ian Baert scored the only goal for St. Johns on a penalty kick. St Johns ends their season at 14-7-2. Laingsburg/Bath is 14-5-2 on the season play in the Regional Semi-Final at Flint Kearsley on 10/21 @ 5:00pm versus the winner of District 25.

2008 District 20-2 Champions
                          2008 District 2-2 Champions Dexter High School

Dexter 4 - Gibraltar Carlson 0
Dexter District. Dexter will travel to Bloomfield Hills Andover Wednesday and play the winner of the Lakeview District at 7:00pm.Tonight the Carlson Marauders squared off against the Dreadnaughts of Dexter in the final round of District 20-2 play being hosted by Dexter High School. The got on the score board first thanks to Brian Altrogge in the 14th minute. Dexter added another goal from Jonathan Jebson in the 31st minute and Dexter took a 2-0 lead into the half time break. Dexter added two goals off restarts in the second half: 46th minute from Alex Derloshon and in the 66th minute from Kurt Miller. Dexter proved to be too much for the Marauders to handle as their season came to an end in this District Final game by a score of 0-4. Carlson finished the season with an overall record of 5-14-3 and made it to the District Finals game for the first time in 9 years.



October 16th

Plymouth Christian 3 - Inter-City Baptist 1

Lutheran Westland 7 - Huron Valley Lutheran 0
Senior Josh Kruger and junior Gage Flanery scored 3 goals apiece for Lutheran Westland (14-5-1). Senior goalkeeper Micah Hausch made 1 save en route to his 9th shut-out of the season. Huron Valley’s season ends with the record of 7-11-1. Lutheran Westland will face Plymouth Christian in the District Final on Saturday at Noon @ Inter-City Baptist

Avondale 4 - Stoney Creek 1
Avondale (17-1-2) moves on to play Troy in the district final with a resounding victory over the visiting Cougars. Brett Lentz scored off a great feed by Steve Bohne in the first half. Stoney Creek came back early in the second half when Jordan Tyler knocked in a goal from the side. Brett Lentz converted another feed from Steve Bohne to take the lead for good. Rees Williams (Brett Lentz) extended the lead and Brett Lentz (Jimmie Miles) rounded off the scoring with less than a minute left in the game. The district final will be at Avondale at 2:00.  

Troy 2 - Rochester Adams 1

Dexter 1 - New Boston Huron 0 (SO)
Dexter is now 10-9-4. *After the original game played on Wednesday 10/15 was suspended with 3:35 left in the second overtime period, play continued at 4:30 pm today. Neither team could score in the remaining overtime period and Dexter won with a penalty kick shoot-out.

Birmingham Seaholm 3 - Farmington Hills Harrison 0

Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook 2 - Bloomfield Hills Andover 0
Cranbrook remains undefeated, as they topped Andover 2-0 on Thursday. Senior captain Jay Trewn had the game winner off a PK early in the second half,  while Andy Holmes tipped in the second goal off of a flick from Joe Granzotto. Keeper Andrew Rouff earned the shutout. Cranbrook is now 15-0-2 and moves on to play Seaholm in the district final on Saturday.

In one of, if not the biggest win in school history, the Bedford boys won the game 1-0 tonight at Woodhaven. Playing against a Pioneer that we have never beaten, the boys picked a great time to notch their first win against the Pioneers. It was a game that Pioneer carried much of the play, our defense played very well in keeping Pioneer off the board. Although being out shot throughout the first 70 minutes of the game, the boys stepped up in the last 10 minutes and brought the play to Pioneer, and James Brobst converted the game winner with 48 seconds left off of a pass from freshman Brendan Renius. Greg Pontasch was by far the player of the game, keeping Pioneer off the board with some spectacular saves and essentially allowing us to come out of the game with a win. Playing well tonight were the entire back 4, Mitch Cousino, Ramon VanderDoes, Micah Bellas and Chad Miller as well as Eli Groff, James Brobst and Eric Thomas. We move onto play 4th ranked Saline in the District Final at 12:30 on Saturday in Woodhaven.

October 15th

All three goals for Lutheran North scored by Anthony Calibeo.  Lutheran North record 12-7-0.  Lutheran North plays Richmond in Distrct Final Friday

Marine City Cardinal Mooney 2 - Kimball New Life 1

Carlson 5 - Airport 2
Tonight the Carlson Marauders squared off against the Airport Jets in the second round of District 20-2 play being hosted by Dexter High School. The Marauders put three balls past the Jets goalkeeper in the first half. Brandon Knott scored all three of these goals with Josh Dye, Phil Johnson and Justin Hunter picking up the assists. Carlson missed on a PK opportunity, but still took a 3-0 lead into the half time intermission. Airport struck first in the second half on a goal from #3. Pat Lancaster from Carlson answered with an unassisted goal. The Marauders Adam Jones scored from Josh Dye to end the scoring for Carlson. Airport wasn’t done and added one more goal from #11. Final score of this game was Carlson 5 and Airport 2. Carlson will play against the Dexter-New Boston Huron winner on Friday night at 5pm for the District Title.

Seniors Latif Alashe and Alex Marilley each had two goals to lead the Mustangs to a 4 - 0 win over Brighton. Assists are credited to Brandon Cameron, Nate Hrivnak, and Alex Marilley. Keeper Jarrod Daul earned his 8th shutout in wins with 5 saves. Brighton closes out a great season at 12 - 3 - 4; Northville advances at 14 - 6 - 1.

Novi 4 - Pinckney 2

Royal Oak Shrine 8 - Parkway Christian 0

Covert 3 - Grace Christian 2
Covert advances to the district finals with a 3-2 victory of Grace Christian. Covert scored first after Alex Vargas picked up the rebound of Jaime Bautista's shot in the 17th minute. Then Grace Christian demonstrated their speed and size advantage over Covert picking up goals in the 24th and 36th minute. Both goals came off well placed long crosses that were finished beautifully. Grace took the 2-1 lead into halftime. Covert tied the game in the 56th minute on a goal by Ivan Gallegos and took the lead with 10 minutes to go in the game on a set piece by Ramon Rodriguez. Covert's record is 13-2-2.

Country Day 2 - Bishop Foley 1 (2OT)
Country Day started off fast as Senior Adrian White scored 5 minutes in to give the Yellowjackets a 1-0 lead. The Ventures quickly regained their composure and generated some quality scoring chances of their own. With 25 seconds left in the half Bishop Foley Sophomore Anthony Rice hit a laser from 25-yards out to tie the game a 1 entering the half. The Yellowjackets began the 2nd half much like the 1st as they rang a shot off the goalpost and crossbar. But again the Ventures fought back as a Junior Tim Oravetz was robbed of a goal with 9 minutes left on a diving save by the Country Day Goalkeeper. The first OT was back and forth as neither team could get a quality chance. Tied 1 - 1 after regulation Country Day scored with 4 minutes remaining in the second overtime to advance to the district final game. Both Country Day goals were scored by Adrian Wright assisted by Jeff Rogers. Bishop Foley’s goal was scored by sophomore Anthony Rice with less than a minute remaining in the 1st half. Bishop Foley ranked # 10 in Division III completes their season with a record of 9 – 8 – 2. Country Day, ranked # 3 in Division III with a record of 17 – 5 – 2, will play Notre Dame Prep Saturday, October 18 @ Pontiac Notre Dame Prep at 1:00 pm. For the Ventures all 3 Seniors - Brandon Simmons, Kevin Lass and Ryan Gumbleton - all played well in the final game. Junior Derek Rosiek had a solid game at sweeper and Junior Forward Tim Oravetz got to several loose balls drawing fouls all evening on the Yellowjacket defenders. The future looks bright for Bishop Foley as 9 starters and and 14 letterwinners will returen. Bishop Foley finishes 9-8-2 overall on the season including capturing their 1st CHSL Title.

Laingsburg Wolfpack advances to the District 26-2 Final after defeating Clio 4-1. Clio's Timothy Wright was awarded the 1st goal of the match at the 10:12 mark of the 1st period after Ryan Hannah deflected his shot past the Wolfpack keeper. Wolfpack keeper Ben Roberts made a couple of key saves to keep the score at 1-0 until Wolfpack's Mitchell Matzenbach was able to tie the match up four minutes later of the Caleb Gutzki assist. With just over a minute left in the half, Laingsburg's Ryan Hannah sent a long ball in from midfield that John Brown buried for the go-ahead goal and the 2-1 halftime lead. The second half was all Wolfpack as Clio was held to zero shots on goal and Laingsburg tallied two more goals by Matt Johnson and Dalton Guggemos for the 4-1 final. This District 2-1 match between cross-county schools was a hotly-contested rivalry classic. The host Mules scored on a goal by Eric Thomas at 16’ and controlled play for the first half to lead 1-0. The Trojans reversed roles and took the play to Bedford throughout the second half, tying the match with a goal from Jordan McBee at 59’, and their heavy pressure nearly won it with multiple chances in the last minutes of regulation. The Mules responded with a free kick goal from Eli Groff at 2’ of the first OT to win. Monroe’s season concludes at 6-12-3 and they look forward to joining the SEC Red Division next year. Bedford’s record is 12-9-2 and they advance to the District Semi-final on Thursday 10-16 at Woodhaven.

At Runkel field in Utica, host Ford, the MAC Red champions, went up early on a beautiful header from a free kick service. Athens answered within 5 minutes as Danny Jackson took a feed from John Borgen after a corner kick. Ten minutes later, Athens struck again on another corner, this time Blake Jendrusch found Nick Donato alone on the far post for a 2-1 Athens lead going into halftime. After intermission, Ford applied steady pressure for the first 15 minutes until the Redhawks Vamsi Chinta converted an Andre Bezerra free kick. With 5 minutes to play, Chinta was sent in on a breakaway by Jendrusch to account for the final score. Athens moves on to the district semifinals and will face Fraser at Fraser on Wednesday at 5:30. Ford bows out at 12-4-3.

Romulus scored with five minutes remaining in the half to send the teams to the break tied 1-1. About fifteen minutes into the second half, Nate Richardson gave Airport the lead back, scoring on a volley from 6 yards. Derek Smith then pushed the lead to 3-1 with ten minutes remaining, scoring on a header off a corner kick. Machcinski assisted on both second half goals. Next game: Wednesday at 3pm @ Dexter vs. Gibralter-Carlson.

Brighton defeated Walled Lake Central 2-1 in a District 5-1 Quarterfinal match.  Nick Schroeder scored first for Brighton on a header off of a corner from Taylor Mazurek and Jay Krause found Brian Ebert with a cross for Brighton's second goal.  Brad Lyons scored Walled Lake Central's only goal on a free kick.  The win raises Brighton's record to 12-2-4 and propels the Bulldogs into a District 5-1 Semifinal match with Northville at Northville on Wednesday evening.

South Lyon traveled to Novi for a first round district matchup. After a 1-1 first half, the teams combined for 4 goals in the last 10 minutes with Novi coming out on top 4-2. Novi would score first Roland Razburgaj found Garret Gruder at the 25 minute mark. South Lyon would equalize with 10 minutes left in the half when Curt Green took a free kick and Jordan Selva finished it off. The second half saw momentum shifts and back and forth play until with 10 minutes left, Novi was awarded a penalty kick and Gruder finished it. Gruder would get the hat trick when he scored just minute later to put Novi up 3-1. South Lyon was not done and cut the lead back to a goal when Curt Green found Tom Barloguer with 1:05 left in the game. Chase Jaborri scored for Novi with 5 seconds left to finish the scoring 4-2 in favor on Novi. South Lyon finishes the season at 10-8-3. Novi moves to 10-6-3 and will play in the district semi-final Wednesday 5pm. at Northville against the winner of the Walled Lake Western/Picnkney game.

After a scoreless first half ,Ryan Day opened the scoring at the 17:17 mark with the assist going to Jordan Najor. WB answered just 5 minutes later to knot it up at 1-1. With only :32 seconds remaining Ryan Day swung a corner kick into the box and Zach Olmstead knocked it home for the game winner.

Houghton Lake 4 - Oscoda 3
The Oscoda Owls Boys soccer season came to an abrupt and painful end on Monday night. The Owls fell in the opening round of District play to the Houghton Lake Bobcats, 4-3. The Owls came out firing but were unable to find the back of the net, even missing an early penalty kick. The Bobcats weren't wasting any opportunities and despite being outshot in the first half 5-12, took a 4-0 lead into the half. The Owls finally got on the board at the 54 minute mark when AJ Morse hit Josh DeOrnellas with a nice pass and DeOrnellas converted it into a goal. Less than a minute later, Jon Roach blasted a penalty kick into the back of the net to cut the Bobcat lead in half. The Owls continued to attack the goal box, taking 13 second half shots on goal and allowing only three more to Houghton Lake. The Owls were awarded another penalty kick with eleven minutes to play and Morse made this one count. Oscoda continued the attack and despite clanging the posts several times were unable to even the score. Oscoda finishes their season 8-8-2.
Senior Derek Boston had an outstanding match finishing with five steals and four intercepts. Several other seniors worked hard to extend their last season also. Nolan Myles had seven intercepts and Ryan Clouse finished with four steals and eight intercepts. "Gary tried to spark something in the first half by using different combinations off the bench but we were in a funk and nothing was working", according to Assistant Coach Tim Colborn. "It wasn't like the boys weren't trying, we just looked like a different squad the first 40 minutes." Zach Burnside, Dylan Palacios, Eric Goodwin and Christian Slater all scored first half goals for Houghton Lake. All four goals were netted in a 20 minute span in the middle of the half. The Bobcats move on to play the winner of Standish/Tawas on Wednesday night at Oscoda. That game will begin at 7:00pm with a second semi-final match to begin at 5:00pm. Oscoda will graduate seven seniors; Clouse, Boston, Myles, Skylar Thurston, Shane Ruyts, Mike Wimmer and Kevin Palmer. But this years freshman class proved they are ready to play and will fill in the shoes of the starters next season.

Last night began District play for the Carlson Marauders as they hosted a 6pm match against Ypsilanti. Carlson started with a goal from Phil Johnson, assisted by Brand Knott only 4-1/2 minutes in. They added a second goal in the 17th minute. This was the first goal of the season from Justin Hunter, assisted by Phil Johnson. Carlson never really played well as Ypsilanti had many more scoring chances than the Marauders, but played good enough to take a 2-0 lead into the half time intermission. Carlson goalkeeper Andreas Gikas kept the Marauders in the game. Ypsilanti started the second half with goals in the 50th and 58th minutes. the second goal was scored by George Pop. Carlson added the game winner in the 89th minute when Phil Johnson sent a low ball in from the side of the net that went off an Ypsilanti defender and into the back of the net. Carlson advances to the next round being played Wednesday night in Dexter against Airport .

Cranbrook 1 - Lutheran North 0 (SO) In the Metro Conference championship game, Cranbrook and Lutheran North played hard for 80 minutes of regulation. This game, however, would not be decided in regulation or overtime, so the championship would end in penalty kicks. Billy Stacy had the game winner for CK, after junior Jeff Hammond and captains Jay Trewn and Jeremy brill all knocked in their PKs. Sophomore Andrew Rouff was in net for CK, and made many big saves in the game, including one in the PK shootout.

Jeff Rogers kicked in Country Day’s first goal. Rick McCarthy scored on a penalty kick later in the first half. Country Day now has a record of 16 - 5 - 1. DCDS goalkeeper Justin Fragnoli earned Country Day’s 15th shutout of the season.

Farmington 3 - Hazel Park  2
Farmington played their last regular season game and OAA blue division game tonight against Hazal Park. Farmington dominated the game but found itself down by two goals early in the second half. The numerous chances, two bars and and constant pressure did not produce a goal until the 12th minute of the second half when Joe Ashmore received a cross from the left flank from Tyler O'Hara and put it past the Hazel Park keeper. About ten minutes later Joe Ashmore returned the favor to O'Hara with a tremendous pass in the penalty area which O'Hara skillfully received and a canon shot followed tying the game. The winning goal came with less then five minutes left in the game when Ben fleck served a ball to Joe Ashmore in front of the goal and a volley and an unstoppable shot followed which gave Farmington the OAA Blue Division Championship. The Falcons of Farmington end the regular season with a 14-4-1 record overall and a 10-1-1 in OAA BLUE

Avondale accounted for both of Brandon's losses as the teams met earlier in the year. Good luck to both of these teams in the districts.

At Hudsonville Freedom Baptist Muskegon Catholic Central and Hudsonville Freedom Baptist tied 1-1 after two overtime periods on Thursday. Harrison evened the season series at Ferndale. Mike Minkus opened the scoring after receiving a long ball from Max Trotz. Max Trotz tallied the 2nd goal on a smooth feed from Evan Hayden. Mike Minkus chipped a ball over the defender to Max Trotz who chipped the ball over the Ferndale goalie. Ferndale got on the ball with 10 minutes remaining when Kyle Rose converted a PK. Harrison 9-7-2 (7-4-1 OAA Blue) locks up 3rd place in OAA Blue over Ferndale 9-9-1 (5-6-1 OAA Blue). Ferndale travels to Harrison on Tuesday for the District game and rubber match between these two teams.

Oakland Christian finished out the regular season with a strong outing against Holly, lead by senior Jacob Stanko with 4 goals. Chris Perrin added a pair of goals, and Mitchell Dale & Dylan Anderson had a goal and an assist each for OCS. Jon Wilke contributed 3 assists, John Radcliff added 2 assists, and Josh Prantera added an assist. Kramer Everett was OCS's goal keeper, making his 12th shut out for the season. OCS finishes the regular season with an overall record of 18-3-0 (7-1 MIAC), while Holly's overall record is now 6-9-2.

In the final game of the regular season Lake Orion wins outscoring Rochester Adams 2-1. The first goal of the game was scored by Adam's Joey Dillon. Lake Orion's first goal was scored by sophomore Blake Skamiera with the assist by junior co-captain Reed Losee. The final goal for Lake Orion began with great possession and a powerful shot on goal by Reed Losee which hit on the inside of the goal post and rolled out to freshman Jake Sims who put in the game winner. Losee was credited with two assists. Congratulations to both teams for a hard fought game!

Athens stunned league champion and #6 ranked Clarkston 1-0 on Thursday night in the final game of the regular season for both teams. Senior Vamsi Chinta, playing only his 3rd game of the season, recorded the game winner unassisted with 10 minutes remaining in the first half. Goalkeeper Andre Bezerra made 8 saves as Wolves playmakers Verlinden and Pinkos applied steady pressure throughout the game. Athens enters district play at 5-9-4 and will take on MAC Red champion Utica Ford. Clarkston goes into district play at 12-5-2.

Waterford Kettering traveled to South Lyon for the first ever meeting between these two soccer teams. South Lyon scored twice in the first half and once in the second for a 3-2 win over the Captains. South Lyon's Connor Plagens scored off a Jordan Selva pass to open a 1-0 lead fifteen minutes into the match. Chris Kobayashi scored the second goal ten minutes later to make it 2-0. Kettering would score two goals in the first 5 minutes of the second half to tie the score. Adam Gentile scored the winner for South Lyon with 12 minutes left in the game. South Lyon finishes the regular season at 10-7-3 overall and 4-6-2 in the KLAA. Waterford Kettering finishes 4-7-1 in the KLAA. South Lyon will travel to Novi on Monday for a first round district matchup at 6:30 pm.

CHSL C-D Championship.  Bishop Foley won its first CHSL Championship as they defeated D-3's 8th ranked team Ann Arbor Richard 2-0. The Ventures have been decimated by injuries all season, but as they have done time and again, perservered and got the big win. The Ventures started off fast scoring 2 goals in the first 10 minutes. Junior Alan Wisniewski scored his 2nd goal in as many games 6 minutes in for a 1-0 Bishop Foley lead. The Ventures continued to pressure early leading to a corner kick at the 10 minute mark. Junior Daniel Potter put a nice kick into the box that went off an Irish player and into their goal for a 2-0 lead. That would be all the Ventures would need Bishop Foley shut down the Irish attack all night long.
For Bishop Foley, the backline of Senior Kevin Lass, Juniors Derek Rosiek and Kurt Weiss, and Freshman Brandon Rice again were solid giving the Irish very few open looks. Sophomore Andrew Claucherty made 7 saves to earn his 5th shutout. It was the 2nd win this season against a ranked opponent for the Ventures.
With the win, Bishop Foley improves to 8-7-2 overall. Richard falls to 13-3 overall. The Ventures will next open District play next Monday against South Lyon East at South Lyon East. Game time is at 5:30pm.

The Oscoda Owls soccer team played on Wednesday night in Alcona and were defeated, 3-0. The Owls had their chances and got off eight shots in the first half but were unable to put the ball into the net. Alcona held a 1-0 halftime lead and Oscoda's woes continued into the second half, only getting four shots on goal (one a Penalty Kick).
"We were sloppy tonight and played extremely poorly. Our only kick that found netting was an own goal past our own keeper!", commented Assistant Coach Tim Colborn.
The Alcona Tigers got goals from Michael Munro and Robert Rynca.
The Owls drop to 8-6-2 and finish the regular season in Fairview on Friday at 5:00pm. They will open District play on Monday when they host Houghton Lake at 5:00pm with the winner playing Tawas or Standish in Oscoda at 7:00pm on Wednesday.

Dansville Aggies fall 6-0 to the Laingsburg Wolfpack at the Aggies “Under the Lights” game. The Aggies had a large and loud home crowd as they were honoring their seniors and the local youth teams at their annual “Under the Lights” contest. The Wolfpack quickly quieted the crowd as they scored their first goal 18 seconds into the match, when Dalton Guggemos picked up the rebound from the John Brown strike and put it past the Aggie keeper. The Aggies responded well and outhustled the Wolfpack during the next five minutes of the match, however, it was the ‘Pack’s Jordan Fulton who knocked over the Aggie keeper in the scramble in front of the net and scored the second goal. Dalton Guggemos tallied two more goals for the Wolfpack in the 1st period for his hat trick and the Wolfpack’s 4-0 lead at intermission. Ryan Hannah and Matt Johnson assisted on Guggemos’s 2nd and 3rd goal, respectively. In the second period, Wolfpack sophomore Drew Jones saw his first action of the year in goal for the Wolfpack varsity and held onto the shutout with one saves as the Wolfpack tallied two more goals for the final 6-0 score. Mitchell Matzenbach and Jordan Fulton each scored in the second period off some nice passing from John Brown, Dalton Guggemos and Matt Johnson. Laingsburg/Bath is 11-4-2 on the season and play at Fowlerville on 10/11 @ 11:30.  Laingburg will also be hosting their 1st round Division II, District 26 match versus Corunna @ 3:00 pm on 10/13 @ Laingsburg. The JV teams took the field first and Carlson was stopped 8-0 with only 9 minutes gone into the second half as three additional Carlson players were called up for the Varsity match. Eddie Bramlett had 22 saves for the Marauders. The Marauders JV team finished with a 9-11-1 overall record.

Carlson boys soccer teams finished the regular season against unbeaten Fordson. These teams traded goals in the first 6 minutes. Scoring first was Fordson player Saif Ateyia in the third minute. Getting the goal for Carlson 3 minutes later was Brandon Knott on a penalty kick. Mitchell Compean sent in a corner kick that was headed off the crossbar by Tyler Demitroff and then struck towards the net by Robert Koss. Fordson player Youssef Ghassani deflected the ball from the goal with his hand and was issued a red card and a penalty kick was awarded to the visiting team. Fordson added two more goals from Jad Alzein in the 18th minute and 27th minute. With 13 seconds left in the half, Adam Jones got his first Varsity goal for the Marauders on an assist from Brandon Knott. The score at half was Carlson 2 and Fordson 3. The second half saw a lot of different players getting significant play time from Carlson, including JV players James Garner, Zach Mlostek and Drew Kohn who were called up for this match. Fordson added two more goals: one from Ali Fardoun in the 42nd minute and the final goal from Qendrim Makolli in the 61st minute. Carlson's overall record was 3-13-3 and 2-6-2 in the conference. The Marauders open District play at home on Monday night at 6pm against Ypsilanti.

Sophomore Tom Pickren scored for first FR for a 1-0 lead. BP scored to tie in the 77th minute with the goal by sophomore Andrew Bruck, but freshman Jalen Walker scored for FR to give them back the lead. Junior Tim Short scored the last goal for BP in the 80th minute for the tie. Senior Andrew Reid added an assist for BP. Baptist Park is now 10-4-2 (9-1-1 MIAC Red) and FR is 9-4-1 (9-0-1 MIAC Red).

CK remains undefeated and will play  Lutheran North in the Metro tournament finals on Friday.

Jacob Stanko scored the next goal, assisted again by Caleb Stanko. Caleb Stanko scored OCS's last goal on a pk. Kramer Everett was in goal for OCS, making 3 saves, achieving his 11th shut out of the season. This win gives OCS the MIAC conference championship, with a record of 7-1 in the MIAC and an overall season record of 17-3. Inter-City's overall record is now 7-7-3.

Groves got on the board first with a goal by Jack Flechsig 25 minutes in. The game remained 1-0 until Cody Hederson scored for Lahser with 11:00 left in the game. Groves got a free kick just outside the 18 yard line with under 2 minutes left and Jordan Najor put it upper 90. The game ended with both benches clearing and some pushing and shoving but no blood drawn.

Muskegon Western Michigan Christian 2 - Freedom Baptist 1
At Hudsonville Freedom Baptist. John Waller scored with less than two minutes into the game as the Warriors beat their River Valley Conference rival for the second time this season. Freedom tied it up three minutes later but WMC's Case Ryzebol scored for the 2-1 win. Freedom Baptist falls to 13-3.

Coldwater 5 - Loy Norrix 3
Loy Norrix traveled to Coldwater for a SMAC league tournament game only to find a red hot Cam Holicki. Loy Norrix opened the scoring with a goal against a short handed Coldwater team due to disciplinary reasons. Coldwater's Cam Holicki quickly had answers for this with 2 goals. Sliman Ahmed added another goal before the half would end for the Cards. After the break Loy Norrix did not back down and quickly but the ball in the back of the net to get within 2 goals of Coldwater. Cam Holicki decided that 2 goals was too close and found the net twice, both with assists from Chris Jacobsen. Loy Norrix was able to score one more time before the game would end with a score of 5-3 in favor of Coldwater. Coldwater is now 11-5-1 overall and 6-4-1 in league play.

Avondale wrapped up their first year in OAA White with an undefeated record (13-0-1). Taylor Shard scored first to give the host Ravens the lead. Avondale's Chad Gaffke (Brett Lentz) scored to tie it up before half-time. In the second half Steven Bohne (Chad Gaffke) and Brett Lentz (John Nofs) scored for the Yellowjackets (14-1-2). Avondale ends their regular season on Thursday when they visit Brandon (13-1-2), the Flint Metro League champions.

West Bloomfield 3 - Farmington Hills Harrison 1
West Bloomfield wrapped up conference play tonight by hosting Harrison High School. Scoring for the Lakers were Mario Paljusevic, Josh Lorence and Dario Morazan. Assists on the goals went to Adam Buckner and Dario Morazan. With the win West Bloomfield improves to 14-4-0 (10-2-0 OAA Blue). The Lakers wrap up the regular season against Roeper on Friday and then travel to Groves on Monday for the start of district play.

Romsek scored the game winner in the second half with the assist to Gobbons. Fowlerville travels to play the winner of the "A" bracket on Thursday for the CAAC 3rd division championship.

Michigan Lutheran scored 3:00 into the second half to draw within one at 3-2, but 2 more goals by Elvis Bautista and 1 by Ivan Gallegos moved the Bulldogs to 6 goals. In a game that could only be characterized as very strange, the Yellowjackets continued their winning ways with a league victory over Seaholm. Avondale got on the score board first when Brett Lentz scored on a PK. Seaholm's Thor Erikson knocked in a PK a few minutes later. Less than a minute later, Rees Williams scored on a PK to give Avondale a 2-1 lead. Brett Lentz (Chad Gaffke) scored late in the first half to give the Yellowjackets (13-1-2) a 3-1 half-time lead. After an Avondale ejection early in the second half, Seaholm's Mike Brek scored to make the game close. Avondale bounced back when Chad Gaffke knocked in another PK. Avondale's Brett Lentz (John Nofs) completed the hat trick for the final tally of the game. OAA White Champion Avondale (12-0-1 in the league) travels to Royal Oak on Tuesday to end their league play.

Brighton 1 - Walled Lake Northern 0
Brighton defeated Walled Lake Northern 1-0 tonight to win the inaugural Lakes Conference Championship. Isaiah High found Grant Chong midway through the first half for the games only goal. Keeper Mark Binkley got the shut out. The win raises Brighton's overall record to 11-1-4. Brighton will play Kensington Conference Champion Livonia Stevenson at Stevenson on Wednesday for the inaugural KLAA Championship.

Bishop Foley  2 - Notre Dame Prep 1
Bishop Foley used a complete team effort to overwhelm the defending CHSL Champion and #1 Seed Notre Dame Prep 2-1 in a CHSL Semifinal. The Ventures advance to their 2nd straight CHSL Final.
Notre Dame Prep started out fast scoring 10 minutes into the game for a 1-0 lead. However Bishop Foley regrouped and dominated the last 70 minutes. Early in the 2nd half Junior Jonathan Weber pulled the Ventures even off a free kick from Junior Derek Rosiek. Late in the 2nd half Junior Alan Wisniewski scored his 1st varsity goal to give Bishop Foley a 2-1 lead. The Ventures would continue to press the action and control the game the rest of the way.
The defense and midfield was strong as Senior Midfielders Brandon Simmons and Ryan Gumbleton had strong games. Senior Ryan Lass and Junior Kurt Weiss were also strong on the backline in front of Sophomore Goalkeeper Andrew Claucherty who made 7 saves.
With the win, Bishop Foley improves to 7-7-2 overall. The Ventures will next play for the CHSL Championship Wednesday at 5:00pm against D3's 8th ranked team Ann Arbor Richard, a 3-2 winner over Riverview Richard in the other CHSL Semifinal.

South Lyon 8 - Livonia Franklin 2
Livonia Franklin traveled to traveled to South Lyon for a first ever match up between these two schools. South Lyon would score twice in the first half and add 6 in the second half for a 8-2 victory in this KLAA crossover game. Senior Matt Morais would score the Lions first goal from a penalty kick 12 minutes into the match. Jake Green would make it 2-0 just 8 minutes later. The rest of the half would go back and forth ending with a 2-0 South Lyon lead. The Lions broke the game open early in the second getting goals from Drew Mexicott and Alex Enfroy in the first 3 minutes of the second half. Franklin would get on the board with goal from Jordan McGuire. South Lyon would continue their attack getting goals from Adam Gentile, Chris Kobayashi, Bob Wendt, and Jake Green getting another. Zain Qureshi would add a goal late for Franklin. South Lyon is now 9-7-3 overall and 3-6-2 in the KLAA. Franklin is 2-8-1 in the KLAA.

Pinckney opened up the scoring in the first half with a grittiy goal from Sophomore Zack Fosket. The half ended with the Pirates up 1-0. In the second Half Walled Lake West got on the board with a Penalty Kick from Nick Lewin. The Second half ended with both teams tied at 1. The Pirates Came out quickly in overtime and took control with Spencer Stuldreher Goal from Chase Farley 20 seconds in to lock up the Victory for Pinckney.
Pinckney will now play Northville in the Association Crossover match at Northville High School. The Pirates are now 9-3-2 (5-2-2 in KLAA West and crossover).

Berkley is now 8-8-1 overall and 5-8 in OAA White. Berkley travels to Royal Oak on Friday night for the regular season finale.

The Marauder JV soccer team squared off against Lincoln Park and after controlling the entire match, walked away with a 4-0 victory. Scoring for your Marauders was: James Garner assisted by Drew Kohn; Zach Mlostek assisted by Petey LeFevers; Mark Victory assisted by Devin Bembnister and James Garner unassisted. All four goals were scored in the first half of this game. The Marauder JV record is now 9-10-1 overall and they travel to Fordson on Wednesday night for their final match of the season.

Tonight was a rematch of an earlier 1-1 tie between these two MEGA White opponents. The Marauder Varsity team did not fair so well on a night designated to honor their Seniors: Mike Cunningham, Martin Delpaz, Tyler Demitroff, Josh Dye, Phil Johnson, Robert Koss and Jordan Zammitt. After trailing 0-2 at half on goals from Lincoln Park #4, Carlson finally got on the scoreboard when Josh Dye recorded a goal assisted by Robert Koss. Lincoln Park added three more goals in the second half before Robert Koss scored off a corner kick sent in by Mitch Compean. Scoring for Lincoln Park in the second half was #4 with 2 goals and #11 with 1 goal. Carlson's Varsity record has dropped to 3-12-3 overall and 2-5-2 in the MEGA White conference. They travel to Fordson on Wednesday for the final season match. Carlson will open District play at home on Monday night, 6pm vs Ypsilanti.

Groves got their second 12 minutes later when the Groves throw-in was deflected off a Harrison defender’s head into the far corner. Mike Minkus answered 6 minutes later on a feed from Max Trotz. At halftime, the 5 seniors: Dane Laird, Mike Minkus, Zach Poley, Ryan Roberts and Max Trotz were recognized. Harrison attacked the last 15 minutes of the game with repeated quality scoring chances, many of the underclassmen fighting hard to prevent the loss. Finally, with 2 minutes remaining the 2 seniors connected for the equalizer. Max Trotz split two defenders after receiving a long pass from Mike Minkus to earn the tie for the Hawks.

The Barons defeated the Bears in this cold and rainy OAA White league game. Andover's goals came from Alex Issa (Curtis Beachum) and Dylan Tuthill (TJ Mack). Jeff Hammond and Andrew Pichurko both recorded 2 assists, and Andrew Rouff earned the shutout. Coldwater was unable to put together any type of effective offense in the second half and let in one more goal to have the game end 3-1. Shots on goal were 12 for Colwater and 18 for Harper Creek. Evan Szfranski made 14 saves in goal. Coldwater in now 10-5-1 overall and 3-4-1 in SMAC conference play.

Novi came into South Lyon's Jungle on Thursday night and scored 2 first half goals, only to see South Lyon score 2 in the second for a 2-2 tie. Novi's Garret Gauruder scored 3 minutes into the match to give Novi the lead early. Novi kept the pressure on forcing some great saves by South Lyon keeper Brian Young and hitting the post several times. With 4 minutes left in the half, Chase Jaborri scored to give Novi a 2-0 halftime lead.
Novi added pressure at the beginning of the second, but could not get past Young. Fifteen minutes into the half Young put a 60 yard pass into the box and found Mark Sadler who cut the Wildcat lead in half. South Lyon kept the momentum and with 9:24 left Adam Gentile scored to tie the game. It was South Lyon who would find the iron late and be denied the victory. South Lyon is now 7-7-3 overall and 2-6-2 in the KLAA Central. Novi is 9-5-2 overall and 3-5-1 in the KLAA Central.

A tough game between these two OAA White teams, was played in pouring rain Thursday night at Birmingham Maple Field. Bloomfield Hills Lahser, ranked 7th in Division 2, scored first on an unassisted goal by Mike Henderson in the first half. Forty-six minutes later, with less than 4 minutes left in the game, Chase Panosian tied it up for Seaholm, ranked 5th in Division 2. Lahser goalkeeper, Gunnar Littrup, had 5 saves, and Seaholm goalkeeper, Jentzen Mehl, had three saves. Seaholm overall record 10-6-1.

Oscoda hosted Fairview Thursday night and the two teams walked away at the end of the match with a tie, 3-3. Oscoda came firing the ball as they did on Wednesday night in Houghton Lake. The Owls took 20 shots on the Eagles net but were only able to score on three set plays.
Fairview struck first in the 8th minute when they got a goal from Devin Guindon. Oscoda's first goal came four minutes later when Ryan Clouse took a Direct Kick just outside the box and nailed it past the wall and Fairview keeper. Fairview went back on top in the 28th minute when Tyler Laban found the net, giving them the halftime lead, 2-1.
Oscoda's AJ Morse put the Owls back in the lead when he converted two Penalty Kicks at the 52 and 64 minute marks. The Owls didn't hold the lead long as Kessler Evans tied the match up two minutes later. Despite being out shot the Eagles were quite efficient, scoring on three of eight shots. The Owls had chances to win but just came up short, including a near miss by Jon Roach with just 4 seconds left in the match.
Senior Ryan Clouse led the defense with 8 steals and 11 intercepts. Nolan Myles added 10 intercepts and Mike Wimmer had another solid match with 6 steals and 5 intercepts.
Oscoda's record moves to 8-5-2 on the season. They return to action on Wednesday the 8th in Alcona and then finish the regular season on Friday the 10th in a rematch with the Fairview Eagles.

For the last division match of the season and Mott's senior night, the Corsairs battled the conditions and an early Western goal to come out on top. Freshman forward Colin Larkin scored two goals in the first half, one rebound and one on a nice crossing assist by sophomore midfielder James Kennedy, and senior utility man Alex Dziadzio added the third in the second half to give Mott the victory. With the win, the Corsairs bring their record to 4-8-2 overall (2-7-1 in KLAA North).

Brighton 4 - Hartland 1
Brighton clinched the inaugural KLAA West Division Championship with a great team win in a steady rain on a slick field at Hartland. Hartland's Andrew Poteracki shocked the Bulldogs by punching in a deflection only 50 seconds into the game, but Brighton battled back to score 2 goals of their own within the first 10 minute. On the first, Grant Chong found Taylor Mazurek who lofted a shot over the hands of the Hartland keeper Cory Bodziak. Then Jay Krause beat several Hartland defenders for a lose ball in front of the goal and punched it in. Brighton's Brian Ebert broke Hartland's back with a third goal midway through the second half and then ripped a fourth goal with about 5 minutes to play. The goal scored by Hartland was only the second allowed by Brighton in the last 13 games. The win lifts Brighton's record to 10-1-4 overall and 6-0-2 in the KLAA West and propels them into the inaugural Lakes Conference Championship next week.

Fowlerville 5 - Stockbridge 0
The Gladiators improved to 9-6-1 with the Senior Night victory over Stockbridge Wednesday night. Travis Gibbons and TJ Romsek each scored twice and had two assists. Brent Morris scored with an assist to Cody Musteffe to round out the scoring. Austin Tefft and TJ Romsek combined in goal for the shutout. Fowlerville hosts Lakewood Thursday night in the first round of the CAAC Tournament, JV start time at 5PM, Varsity at 6:30PM.

Lakeland 5 - Howell 1
Senior Trever Stevens scored 2 goals to take the single season scoring record for Lakeland. Senior Bryan Bouck and juniors Sean Carrigan and Matt Salciccioli also scored. Ian Courtney scored for Howell. Lakeland improves to 9-2-3 on the year.

Coldwater 5 - Columbia Central 2
Coldwater goals by Chris Jacobsen, Oday Alisad, Jacob Robison, Sliman Ahmen. Evan Szfranski & Joe Malakoff shared time in goal for a total of 7 saves. Shots on goal for Columbia were 13 while Coldwater only had 9 shots on goal. Coldwater scored just 3 minutes in and added a goal just 9 minutes later. In the 18th minute Coldwater scored off of a header and then added 1 more goal before the 1st half ended to take a 4-0 lead. Columbia Central came out in the 2nd half during some confusion in front of Coldwater's goal. Shortly after that Columbia Central was awarded a penalty kick and scored to get their last goal of the night. Coldwater scored their 5th goal midway through the 2nd half which deflated Columbia's hope of a come back.

Oscoda 3 - Houghton Lake 1
The Oscoda Owls Varsity soccer team visited Houghton Lake on Wednesday night and played in some rough weather but came out with a winning score.  Despite the wet and slippery field, wind, driving rain and cold the Owls were able to control the ball and managed to outshoot Houghton Lake, 22 - 7.  The Owls didn't allow a single Bobcat shot on goal in the first half.
Kyle McCausey was the offensive star of the match, netting two scores, both after stealing the ball in the midfield and driving to the net.  His first came at the 29th minute mark to open the scoring and he finished the scoring in the 71st minute.  Jon Roach scored Oscoda's second goal after taking a beautiful Ryan Clouse pass and depositing it into the goal in the 35th minute.  Houghton Lake managed to find the net in the 47th minute when Cam Warner found netting.
"We displayed brilliant passing and ball possession tonight.  The boys gave a maximum effort and played mistake free througout the match.  They controlled the action from the start and never gave it back to Houghton Lake," according to Oscoda Head Coach Gary Schneider.
The defense was led by Brandon McCausey who had five steals and six intercepts.  AJ Morse stole five and intercepted four.  Mike Wimmer had one of his best matches with four steals, five intercepts and several nice passes.
The Owls improve to 8-5-1 and hope to continue their winning ways at home on Thursday when they host Fairview at 5:00pm.  The match will also be Senior Night with Oscoda's seven senior players being honored at halftime with their parents.

Linden 2 - Oxford 1
Linden moves to 7 – 0 in the FML and Oxford drops to 3 – 4 – 1 in the FML.

Bishop Foley 4 - Notre Dame Prep 4
The thinning Bishop Foley roster got thinner Tuesday night.  After Senior Kevin Lass and Sophomore Anthony Rice joined the walking wounded, the Ventures dug down deep to pull out a 4-4 tie with League Champion Notre Dame Prep.  Bishop Foley has lost 4 players in the past week to injury but continues to battle hard. The Ventures opened up strong as Juniors Tim Oravetz and Jonathan Weber each added goals for a 2-0 lead.  However the Irish scored 2 goals before the  half to tie the game at the break. In the 2nd half, Notre Dame Prep took the lead as the injuries added up.  However the shorthanded Ventures wouldn't go away as Junior Daniel Potter
tied the game at 3.  Prep again took the lead and again Bishop Foley responded as Jonathan Weber scored his 2nd of the game with a little under 10 minutes to go for the tie.

Carlson JV 1 - Southgate JV 3
Carlson and Southgate started the night with the JV teams taking the field at 4pm in Southgate. Carlson fell behind quickly and were down 0-2 at the half. Both teams added a goal in the second half for a final score of 1 - 3 in favor of Southgate. Scoring for the Marauders was Andrew Kohn from Zach Mlostek. Carlson overall record is now 8-10-1.

Southgate 3 - Carlson 1
Southgate was out for revenge since the last time these teams met Carlson walked away with a 5-3 victory. Southgate got on the scoreboard first with a goal 8 minutes in from Luke Sirianni. Southgate added a second goal in the first half on a cross and finish by Kemir Kouassi in the 25th minute. Southgate took a 2-0 lead into the half time intermission. Carlson scored first in the second half on a restart from Levi Hatfield that was headed in by Brandon Knott in the 52nd minute. Southgate hit the cross bar several times in this match but added the last goal of the night in the 77th minute, again from Kemir. Southgate is now 2-5-1 in the conference and Carlson is 2-4-1. Carlson hosts Lincoln Park Monday night in their final home game to honor this years seven seniors.

Riverview is now 14-2-1 and 10-1-1 in the Huron League. Huron is 8-5 and 7-4 in the league.
