Marquette Junior Varsity finished the season with a 11-2-2. Traverse City Central Black Junior Varsity finished the season with a 9-3-1 record.

Marquette Freshmen finished the season with a 6-7-2 record. Traverse City Central Gold Junior Varsity finished the season with a 6-4-3 record.

Oakland Christian 2 - Notre Dame Prep 1

 Oakland Christian finishes their regular season with a win over Notre Dame Prep.  Jacob Stanko scored both goals for OCS with an assist by Chris Perrin.  NDP's goal was scored by Neal Alattar with the assist by Sean Grogan.  Oakland Christian's regular season record stands at 16-5-0.

 

Riverview 6 - Carlson 0

Riverview is now 11-6-2.  Thanks to our 3 seniors on Senior Night.   Senior Gary McGowan got the shut out, senior  Brad Mitchel had 2 assists, and Senior Sweeper Zack Ronan scored his first goal of the year.  Thank you Seniors for a great 4 years.  Riverview plays at Crestwood Monday for thier first District game.  Carlson plays at Melvindale.

Bloomfield Hills Lahser 4 - Birmingham Seaholm 0

On Lahser Senior Night in which 10 seniors started, Lahser held Seaholm to just 2 shots on goal. Cody Henderson opened the scoring for the Lahser Knights on an assist from Kyle Holman and netted his second goal a few minutes later on an assist from Colin Helmrich. J.P. Neville netted the 3rd goal of the 1st half for the Knights with an assist from Mike Henderson. Colin Helmrich added the 4th goal in the 2nd half on an assist from Cody Henderson. Ryan Borra recorded his 7th shut out.  Congratulations to the 2007 Lahser Knights........the OAA II League Champions!!!

Lutheran Westland 4 - Clarenceville 0

Junior Josh Kruger scored two goals and added one assist for Lutheran Westland (10-5-3, 6-4-1 Metro).  Junior goalkeeper Micah Hausch made 2 saves to earn his 8th shut-out of the season.

Lutheran North 1 - University Liggett 0  

Lutheran North now 8-6-5, while University Liggett goes to 12-3-2.

Andover 3 - Roeper 2

Bloomfield Hills Andover earned the victory in their final game of the regular season.  Scoring for the Barons were Jake Barnett, Zach Wyzgoski, and Lev Beltser.  Brad George accounted for one of Roeper's goals.  Andover is now 12-3-2 overall (8-2-0 OAA III).  Andover (#7 D2) begins district play Monday against Avondale (#2 D2).

CAAC Gold Cup Championship
Okemos 1 - Mason 1 (Okemos wins 5-4 in PKs)

Okemos goal by Jesus Perez-Flores (unassisted).  Mason goal by Ryan Thelen (unassisted).  In goal for Okemos, Anthony Alvarado with 6 saves.  In goal for Mason, Cameron Cochran with 10 saves.  Okemos' record is now 14-1-1.  Mason is now 15-4-1.

Metro Conference Tournament Championship

Cranbrook 1 - Hamtramck 0 (SO)

Cranbrook Won the Metro Conf. Tournament Championship today in PK's, score 4-3. Doo Young Na had the shutout and 2 saves in the shootout. Yoon Ki Chun scored the game winner. Cranbrook climbs to 10-4-1.  Hamtramck drops to 9-2.

Stoney Creek 2 - Rochester 1

 

West Bloomfield  2 -  Groves 1

After a scoreless first half, Groves opened up the scoring 8:12 into the second half on a goal from sophomore Patrick Rooney. West Bloomfield's Dan Rosenthal drew the teams level when he scored with 27:29 minutes left in the match. It was only fitting that on Senior Night for the West Bloomfield Lakers, their senior captain, Hodaka Suzuki, scored the winning goal with 1:07 left in the match. West Bloomfield keeper Jeremey Goldman had 13 saves, while Stephan Cass (1st half) and Christian Warner (2nd half) combined for 8 saves.

 

Country Day 0 - Parma Western 0

Country Day’s 13 seniors completed the regular season schedule.  Goalkeepers Scott Osborne (Western) and Peter Livesey (DCDS) recorded the shutouts.  Western’s record is 10 – 3 -5.  Country Day’s record is 12 – 4 – 4.

Ypsilanti Lincoln 1 - Dexter 0

Goal scored by Kyle Anguilm with the assist going to Michael Dibbs.  Lincoln finishes season at 10-5-1 overall and 6-5-1(SEC white). Lincoln starts district play at Bedford at 5:00pm. Dexter is now 15-3-2 (9-2-1).

Pinckney goals were two for junior Chase Farley, one apiece for seniors Ryan Sherwood and Luis Illescas, and one for freshman Travis Stevens.  Winning keeper was Shane Sugierski.  Pinckney finishes their regular season with a record of 6-9-1, 5-8-1 in the Kensington Valley Conference.

October 10th

Birch Run  8  -  Pontiac Academy  0

 Andy Malicowski 2G, 1A;  Josh Steinley 2G, 3A;  Freshmen  Zach Wenzlick 2G, 1A; Laban Searson 1G,  Brandon Switalski 1G; Senior Keeper Ryan Rigda 3 saves and 1A as Midfielder.  Sophomore Kyle Landon gets his first save in goal.  It was a game in which BR used to play freshmen and sophomores who have not played a lot this year and went out and produced on the field and show the future is bright for BR.  This was the last regular season game and BR overall record now stands at 9-5-4 and 5-4-3 TVC-East in only the second year at Varsity level.  Andy Malicowski finishes the regular season with 21 goals and 5 assists, Josh Steinley finishes with 10 goals and 17 Assists. Keeper Ryan Rigda finishes with a 6-0-2 record in goal. with less than a 0.75 GAA with 2 shut outs.

Notre Dame Prep 2 - Bishop Foley 1

It was another classic battle between two bitter rivals. Both teams played at a high level, however a late goal was the difference as Notre Dame Prep defeated Bishop Foley to claim the CHSL D-2 Title. The Irish opened the scoring midway through a back and forth 1st half to take a 1-0 lead. The 2nd half was mostly controlled by Notre Dame Prep, as Venture Goalkeeper Joey Reyes made several big saves to keep the game close. With 10 minutes left in the game, Bishop Foley Sophomores Derek Rosiek and Jonthan Weber forced a turnover at midfield. The turnover led to a break for Venture Senior Matt Stephens and he chipped it beautifully over the Irish Goalkeepers head to tie the game at 1. It was Stephens team leading 9th goal of the season. The final 10  minutes was frantic as both teams had great opportunities to take the lead. With 1:37 left, a scrum at the Bishop Foley 18-yard line led to a chip for the Irish that rolled into the back of the Venture net for the game winner. Bishop Foley falls to 8-9 overall. The Ventures will close out their regular season Friday at Lamphere at 4:30pm.  

St. Clair Shores Lakeview 5 - Warren Mott 1

Lakeview finishes their MAC Blue Division schedule with a perfect 10-0 season (15-2 overall) and a Divisional Championship. Warren Mott falls to 4-3-2 (7-7-2 overall). Lakeview finishes the season and gets ready for the MHSAA District Tournament with a game at crosstown rivals St. Clair Shores South Lake on Friday at 6:00 PM.

Woodhaven JV 3 - Trenton JV 1

Traverse City West 4  -  Traverse City Central 2

 Very close game in the first half.  Traverse City Central held TC West to one goal in the first half with constant marking on Townsend.  In the second half TC Central tied the game with a goal from Sam Kelly.  Then Casey Townsend put on a show and scored another hat trick in the Big North conference.  Matt Rivard had the other goal for TC West and closing out the scoring for TC Central was Greg Merica.  TC West went 10-0 in the Big North and finished the regular season at 17-2.  TC Central went 5-5 in the Big North and finished the regular season at 10-6-1.  TC Central will host Alpena in the first round of District play in District 16. TC West will host the winner of the TC Central/Alpena game on Wednesday the 17th. District 16 finals will be played in Midland.

Avondale 4 - Waterford Mott 2

 Avondale finished the the season with a perfect 10-0 league record (OAA D3).  Steve Bohne scored two goals with assists from Rees Williams.  Omar Smadi (Alex Hanawalt) and Miguel Hernandez finished off the scoring for the Yellowjackets (16-2-2).  Avondale (#2 in D2) faces league-rival Andover (#7 in D2) at Andover, this Monday night at 6:00.

 

Lansing Catholic JV 2 - Fowlerville JV 0
Fowlerville JV ends their season with a record of 9-6-2

Fowlerville 1 - Lansing Catholic 0

Fowlerville's Richard Lloyd got onto the end of a crossed ball, and banked it off Lansing Catholic Goalkeeper Mark Selleck with 2:32 remaining to lead Fowlerville to victory in the consolation game finals of the CAAC 2nd group cup. Fowlerville (10-8) will travel to DeWitt on Monday, October 15th to play Lakewood in the first round of district play.  Game time is 5PM.

Laingsburg/Bath 4 - Dansville 1

The Wolfpack traveled to Dansville for their final match of the regular season and defeated the Aggies at their “Under the Lights” contest 4-1. John Brown finished the scoring for the Wolfpack with two goals, which gives him 27 goals on the season, breaking the old school record of 25, which was held by Chris Martinez. Ben Roberts opened the scoring for Laingsburg in the 24th minutes unassisted with a rip from 20 yards out. Austin Uphouse scored for the Aggies immediately after the Roberts goal to tie the game. Dalton Guggmos scored his in the 29th minute for the 2-1 Wolfpack lead at Intermission. The Wolfpack end the regular season on a 14 game unbeaten streak as they finish 15-2-1. The Wolfpack will meet Dewitt on 10/15 in District 27-2 action immediately following the Lakewood – Fowlerville match at 5:00 in Dewitt. Laingsburg Shots on Goal: 28. Laingsburg goals: John Brown 2, Dalton Guggemos, Ben Roberts. Laingsburg Assists: Matt Johnson, Chase Stambersky. Laingsburg saves: Bobby Halick 2. Dansville Shots on Goal: 4. Dansville Goal: Austin Uphouse. Dansville saves: 9. Goalkeeper Dustin Salliotte, made several outstanding saves to keep his team in the game. Half time 0-0.

 Trenton 1 - Woodhaven 0

Woodhaven visited local rivals Trenton in the final Mega Red match up of the year. Woodhaven having lost the first match -up earlier in the season rarely threatened the Trenton goal the first half of the game. At the other end of the field. The Warriors Goalkeeper Dustin Salliotte, getting little help form his back line,  made several outstanding saves to keep his team in the game. Half time 0-0. Trenton came out after the half and continued to dominate the game and finally took the lead 10 minutes after the break, when Adam Rader headed in from a corner kick taken by Blake Rusnak. The Trojans attack  continued to dominate against the Warriors, who continually relied on their goalkeeper to keep them in the game. Trenton  finally ran out winners by a single goal at the end. Ian Sullivan had the shut-out in the Trenton goal.  Trenton finishes regular season 5-7-0 in Mega Red, 9-11-0 overall.

Garden City 3 - Southgate Anderson 2

Garden City finishes the Mega White season 6-4-0, Southgate finishes at 7-1-2.

Taylor Kennedy 7 -  Lincoln Park 3

Kennedy came out strong in their last Mega White game and beat Lincoln Park 7-3.  In the cold and rain Kennedy kept the pace and was leading at the half 2-1 with both goals going to Mike Charge. Quickly into the second half Travis Childress scored for Kennedy. Kennedy controlled most of the second half adding 4 more goals, 3 by Mike Charge and another one by Travis Childress.  Kennedy finishes in the Mega White 8-1-1 and 13-1-1.

Carlson Marauders 8 - Ypsilanti Bears 0

 Carlson hosted Ypsilanti in their final home game of the season in a MEGA White match. This was also Senior Night at Carlson in which special accolades were given to 7 seniors: Joel Martin, Corey Neubauer, Sean Falkenberg, Shaun Pek, Derrick Zambo, Buddy Saelzler and Mike Susko. Sean Falkenberg is the only 4 year letterman from this distinguished group of Seniors. Carlson started the scoring early with their first goal only 5 minutes into the match. Carlson kept the pressure on the entire first half and took a 6-0 lead at half time. The Marauders scored two more goals in the second half, ending the match with just over 21 minutes remaining. Five Marauder JV players saw significant play time in this match. Scoring for the Marauders were: Joel Martin with 2 goals and 1 assist; Corey Neubauer with 2 goals and 1 assist; Robert Koss with 2 goals; Sean Falkenberg with 1 goal; Pat Lancaster with 1 goal; Mike Susko with 2 assists; Justin Hunter and Jordan Zammit with 1 assist each. Carlson improves their overall record to 8-8-1 and 5-5-0 in the MEGA White. Ypsilanti is 0-10-0 in the MEGA White. Carlson travels to Riverview for there final match before District play begins on Monday at Melvindale.

Monroe  4 -  Allen Park  0

 Monroe finishes it's regular season at 17-3-1 overall and 8-3-1 in the Mega Red, in second place behind Dearborn.  Scoring for Monroe were Niklas Franken, Jordan McBee, JC Schroeder and Nick Tyson.  Thomas Hoffman was in net for his 12th shut-out of the season.   Monroe will face AA Huron on October 15th at 4:00 at Monroe in the first district round.

Scoring the lone goal for the Marauders was Andreas Gikas on a penalty kick late in the match.

Lutheran Westland 9 - Harper Woods 1

Junior Josh Kruger scored 3 goals for Lutheran Westland (9-5-3, 6-3-0 Metro).  Harper Woods drops to 3-11-1, 1-9-1 Metro.

Cranbrook Kingswood 3 - University Liggett 0

Cranbrook upset University Liggett 3-0 in the Metro Conference Semifinals. Cranbrook goals came from Sukhoon Choi in the first half, and Joe Granzotto and Dan Ko in the second. Assists to Sukhoon Choi, Jeff Hammond and Doo Young Na. Na also recorded the shutout. Metro Conference Championship game is Thursday Oct. 9.

Fruitport Calvary Christian 7 - Byron Center Zion Christian 1
Calvary finished in first place in the Alliance League Conference with a record of 10-0, 15-2-2 overall.

 Jamie Martini had three goals, Gani Ziberi and Spencer Schaffer each had two goals for the 16-1 Red Devils.

Mason 1 - East Lansing 0

Mason goal by Mark Stewart.  Mason assist to Jordan McNeilly.  In goal for Mason, Cameron Cochran with 10 saves.  In goal for East Lansing, Urs Bennings with 10 saves.   Mason's record is now 15-3-1.  East Lansing is now 12-5-2.

Seaholm 1 - Royal Oak 1

Seaholm and Royal Oak played to a 1-1 tie. Halftime score Seaholm 0 - Royal Oak 0. Royal Oak senior, Joe Deneweth scored the game's first goal with 9:23 remaining in the game. Seaholm junior, Chase Panosian scored off an assist from junior, Jake Dangovian with 18:10 remaining in the game. Seaholm 1 - Royal Oak 1. Goal Keepers: Seaholm: Evan Tylinda 6 saves; Jentzen Mehl 1 save . Royal Oak: Alex Dubetz 6 saves. Seaholm ends its regular season on Friday at Lahser. Seaholm's Record 10-5-3 (6-2-3 OAA Division 2).

The semi-final of the Metro Conference Tournament.  Hamtramck plays for 1st place vs. Cranbrook on Thursday. North for 3rd place vs. Liggett.

Stoney Creek 2 - Troy 1

 Southfield Christian 1 - Oakland Christian 0

 For the MIAC Conference Championship, Southfield Christian beats Oakland Christian.  The SCS lone goal came from Ben Beaghan in the first half.  SCS keeper, Tim Bergsma recorded the shutout with 14 saves. OCS keeper, Kramer Everett had 8 saves.

Farmington  3 - W. Bloomfield   2

Laingsburg/Bath 4 - Stockbridge 1

The Wolfpack traveled to Stockbridge and came away the 4-1 victors. In the 2nd minute, Laingsburg’s Dalton Guggemos drove the ball 40 yards down the right touchline and scored unassisted to get the Wolfpack started. John Brown scored the 2nd goal a few minutes later. The Wolfpack only gave up one shot in the 1st period, put it resulted in a Stockbridge goal by Ian Hohman for the 2-1 score at intermission. The 2nd period was all Wolfpack as they put 15 shots on goal with John Brown scoring his 2nd of the night and Ben Roberts making a penalty kick. The Wolfpack defense, led by Eric Silvernail, Ryan Hannah, Nick Jarvis and Chase Stambersky only allowed one more Stockbridge shot on goal. The final was Laingsburg 4 – Stockbridge 1 as Laingsburg moves to 14-2-1 on the season and Stockbridge drops to 4-13-1. The Wolfpack play next at Dansville on 10/10 @ 7:00 for their final regular season match. Laingsburg/Bath shots on Goal: 25. Laingsburg/Bath Goals: John Brown 2, Dalton Guggemos, Ben Roberts. Jordan Najor scored four minutes into the game for the only goal of the game.  Stephan Cass and Christian Warner combined for the shutout.  Groves improves to 9-5-7 (3-4-5 in OAA D2).

Andover 4 - Harrison 2

Bloomfield Hills Andover earned the victory in this OAA Div. III league game.  This game was also Senior Night for the Barons, appropriate since seniors accounted for all the scoring.  Senior Captain Zach Wyzgoski played a stellar game tallying 4 goals.  The scoring breakdown for the game was Zach Wyzgoski (Doug Riddle), Zach Wyzgoski (Rahul Bonnerjee), Zach Wyzgoski (Lev Beltser), and Zach Wyzgoski (Andrew Frank).  Scoring for Harrison were Dane Laird and Mike Minkus.  Yousif Aso picked up an assist.  Andover is now 11-3-2 overall (8-2-0 OAA III).  Andover's final game of the year will be Thursday at Roeper.

 Senior David Clark scored 2 goals, junior Josh Rooker had a goal and an assist, and sophomores Adam Thompson and Cody Patterson each had a goal.  Senior Matt Tosh, and sophomores Tim Short and Kyle Gawne each added assists for Baptist Park.  Senior Dillon Haakenson had the goal for Parkway.  Baptist Park goes to 11-4-2 (7-2-1 MIAC Red).

October 8th

Birch Run  1  -  Frankenmuth  1

 Birch Run's Andy Malicowski took a pass from Josh Steinley with 18 minutes left in the game.   He ran past the defender and faked the keeper and chipped it in.  Birch Run seniors Seth Goulet, Anthony Filkins, Kevin Cutherbertson, Malicowski, Steinley, and Rigda finally produced a result against the tough and talented rival.  Freshmen Barry Griggs and Zach Wenzlick had outstanding defensive games.  The keeper, Ryan Rigda, came up big and kept BR in the game with 23 saves.  Half time Frankenmuth 1-0,  shots Frankenmuth 30-18,  Birch Run overall record 8-5-4,  5-4-3 TVC-East.  In only BR's second year at varsity level, with 9 of the 17 men on the roster, either a freshman or sophomore, they have achieved a winning record for the season and in conference.

 Spencer Schafer, Pat FitzGerald, and Gani Ziberi scored for the Red Devils.  Andrew Leonard had two assists and freshman Majd Khatyz had the last assist.  Grosse Ile is now 15-1 overall.

Bishop Foley  4 - Ann Arbor Richard  3

Bishop Foley took on Intersectional Champion Ann Arbor Richard and defeated the Irish 4-3 to advance to the CHSL D-2 Championship Game Wednesday. The Ventures raced out to a 3-0 halftime lead thanks to goals from Sophomores Derek Rosiek, Jonthan Weber, and Junior Ryan Gumbleton's 1st career goal. However, the 2nd half the Bishop Foley defense got sloppy and let the Irish back into the game. Ann Arbor Richard cut the lead to 3-2 before Rosiek notched his 2nd goal of the game for the eventual game winner. Senior Joey Reyes was solid in goal to pick up the win. The Ventures improve to 8-8 overall. Bishop Foley will next play at Notre Dame Prep Wednesday at 5:00 for the CHSL D-2 Championship. The Ventures will play Notre Dame Prep, a 4-3 winner over Shrine in the other CHSL Semifinal.  

Southgate Anderson 6 - Lincoln Park 1

A Mega White game played at Anderson. The Titans avenged an early season tie with the Railsplitters. Josh Cox scored the hat trick, Caleb McCord scored 2 goals, and had one assist.  Jared McCord scored also. Branden Bryant, Travis Johnston, Kyle George, and Erich Richter each had an assist. Paul Gedotte scored for the Railsplitters. Anderson improves to 8-6-2 overall. 7-0-2 Mega White. Lincoln Park is now 2-6-1 Mega White.

Woodhaven  1 - Monroe  0 

In a Mega Red Conference game at Woodhaven, the Warriors avenged a 0-1 loss to the Trojans earlier in the season with a very spirited effort.  Play was very even with Monroe moving the ball around very well but the Warriors defense stood tall and limited the talented Trojans to very few quality shots on goal.  Brian Hegedus smacked home a hard shot from around six yards after receiving a pass from Shane Theisen at the 16 minute mark.  This proved to be the game winner. Play went back and forth and no more scoring.  Half time  1-0.  Second half, the Warriors out-worked the Trojans and the defense was the difference in the game.  The Warriors welcomed back Sean Tarolli from injury and nobody hits the woodwork like Sean does.  Sean smacked a hard shot off the crossbar and shortly thereafter caught the top of the bar with a fine header. The Warriors were able to hang on for their hard fought win form a very talented Trojan squad.  Dustin Salliotte had the Warrior shut-out.   Great effort from Warriors players.....Dustin Salliotte, Blake Trimble, Zach Fuzy, Brian Hegedus, Juan Camarena, Shane Theisen, Tim Vella, Chris Oberdorf, A.J. An exciting match that was not decided until the winning goal was scored with 3 minutes remaining.  Country Day goals scored by John Rogers (assist Kyle Alsup) and Ricky McCarthy (assist Nick Prys).  Brighton goal scored by Tommy Hazen (2) and Isiah High.  Country Day’s record is 12 - 4 - 3.  Brighton’s record is 9 - 5 - 2.

Seaholm 3 - Fenton 1

Tonight, in Fenton, The Seaholm Maples defeated The Fenton Tigers by a score of 3-1.  Seaholm's record is now 10-5-2 (6-2-2 OAA, Division 2).  Details are as follows: Seaholm Junior, Chris MacKenzie scored off an assist from junior, Thor Eriksen with 17:56 remaining in the first half.  Seaholm 1 - Fenton 0 at halftime.  Seaholm 1 - Fenton 0. Seaholm junior, Chase Panosian scored off an assist from Thor Eriksen with 28:35 remaining in the game  Seaholm 2 - Fenton 0 Fenton junior, Jayce Erwin, scored with 11:15 remaining in the game.  Seaholm 2 - Fenton 1 Chris MacKenzie scored his second goal of the game off a perfectly delivered corner kick from Thor Eriksen (his third assist of the game).  Goal kepers Seaholm:  Evan Tylinda 4 saves. Seaholm plays its final home game at Maple Field, tomorrow evening, Senior Night, against Royal Oak.  The Maples play their last regular season game at Lahser on Friday.  If the Maples win these two remaining games, they will clinch the OAA Division 2 Championship.

Andover 9 - Waterford Mott 1

Bloomfield Hills Andover earned the victory in this OAA Div. III league game.  The Barons had several players get multiple points led by Zach Wyzgoski (3 goals 1 assist).  The other multi point players were Doug Riddle (2 assists) and Lev Beltser (1 goal 1 assist).  The scoring breakdown for the game was Yusuke Yagi, Jake Barnett (Zach Wyzgoski),  Zach Wyzgoski (Doug Riddle), Zach Wyzgoski (Alex Issa), Brian Day (Doug Riddle), Jimmy Najia (PK), Zach Wyzgoski (TJ Mack), Andy Jimbo (Lev  Beltser), Lev Beltser (Curtis Beachum).  Mott's goal was scored by Dylan Frazier (Dajuan Lewis).  Andover is now 10-3-2 overall (7-2-0 OAA III).  Mott moves to 3-11-0 overall (2-7-0 OAA III).  Andover's Senior Night will be tomorrow when the  Barons host Harrison and wrap up league play.

Ferndale 1 - West Bloomfield 1

In what was a very entertaining game, the  Ferndale Eagles fought for eighty minutes to earn a 1-1 tie with West Bloomfield. After allowing a goal with 20 minutes left in the game, the Eagles got the equalizer with 40 seconds on the clock. Scoring for the Eagles was Junior Stopper Micheal Eby. The assist goes to John Ndeh-Zama. Earning the tie in goal for Ferndale was Ryan Kott. Ferndales record goes to 7-3-5 on the season. Next up for Ferndale is a trip to Pontiac Northern on Tuesday to decide the division championship.

Dearborn Crestwood 2 - Trenton 1

Trenton hosted 3rd placed Crestwood in a Mega Red match up on Monday night. Trenton dominated the game in the first half forcing the Crestwood keeper into 9 saves, and hitting the frame of the goal 3 times, before Crestwood took the lead 25 minutes into the game, half time 1-0 Crestwood. The second half followed the same pattern with the Crestwood keeper continuing to shut out the home team, Trenton finally got the tying goal 10 minutes from time when Vijay Pockyarath scored after a shot from 20 yard sailed into the top right corner of the goal.  Trenton pressed forward for the winner, but were to be denied even a share of the points when a Crestwood forward went down in the box 8 seconds from time and from the resulting penalty kick, Crestwood won the game 2-1. 

Ann Arbor Pioneer 1 - Canton 1

Pinconning 3 - Oscoda 1

The Oscoda Owls Varsity Soccer Team fell Monday night to the Pinconning Spartans, 3-1.  Oscoda's lone goal came in the 48th minute when Ryan Clouse hit Adam Dettmer with a lob pass over the defense and Dettmer buried it into the net.  Oscoda Keeper Danny Jurkiewicz made fourteen saves in his first appearance between the pipes this season.  Pinconning outshot the Owls, 17-12.  Oscoda drops to 6-9-1 overall and 4-7 in conference play. The Owls will travel to Tawas on Wednesday to end their regular season against the Braves at 5:00pm.  They will begin District play on Monday, at home, against Tawas at 4:00pm.

Plymouth 3 -  Walled Lake Northern 1

 Colin Rolfe opened the scoring in the first half on a shot that hit the post and bounced in. In the second half, Tyler Floyd sent the ball deep into the zone and Colin Rolfe again found the back of the net. Walled Lake Northern answered back on a corner kick from Austin Rogers which found the head of Brendan Rogers.  Plymouth sealed the game late in the second half on a rocket shot from Austin Kaczanowski. Plymouth finishes their regular season at (10-6-5).

In a Mega White game, Taylor Kennedy beat Ypsilanti 8-0.  Mike Charge broke the school record by scoring 4 goals for Kennedy.  Kyle Rapley scored one goal and RC Mucaj scored a hat trick.   With one Mega White game left Kennedy is 8-1-1 and 12-1-1 overall.

The Lake Orion Dragons played the Midland Dow Chargers and won 1-0 on a goal scored by Sophomore forward Reed Losee. Lake Orion lifted its record for the season to 5-6-3.

In a non league game. After a scoreless first half Casey Townsend scored with less than a minute into the second half to put the Titans up 1-0.  Grand Blanc came back to tie the score a few minutes after.  Townsend tripped in the box, awarded a PK and takes it to go up 2-1.  Again Grand Blanc comes back on a long free kick to tie the game at 2-2.  Winning goal scored by Jon Gourlay with Townsend assist. Traverse City West record is now 16-2.

 Even though Farmington scored first, Avondale kept their focus and came back for the victory.  The win sealed an undisputed league championship for the Yellowjackets (15-2-2, 9-0 OAA3).  Brett Lentz and Rees Williams (Bill Othman) scored for the Jackets who travel to Mott to complete their regular season on Tuesday.

The first goal for OCS came from Mitchell Dale, assisted by Jacob Stanko.  Jacob Stanko and Derek Zwier scored the other two goals unassisted.  OCS keeper, Kramer Everett records his 6th shutout.  Roeper keeper, David Lauer had 9 saves.  OCS overall record is now 14-4, 4-2 in the MIAC.  Roeper is 9-8.

The Wolfpack was playing it’s last home match of the year against Chesaning and sent the visitors home on the back-end of the 8-0 score. Dalton Guggemos opened the scoring for the Wolfpack just over 1 minute into the game off the John Brown assist. John Brown lead the Wolfpack with three goals. Dalton Guggemos added an assist to go with his early goal, Ben Roberts had a goal and an assist, Mitchel Matzenback also had a goal and an assist. Mike Oliva playing in his first varsity game tallied two goals. Brain Henry and Bobby Halick were in goal for the Wolfpack. Senior Chris Billau scored career goal 51 which proved to be enough in a thrilling 2 0 win at Grosse Ile. Junior Jarod Mullins stopped a penalty kick late in the game, while senior Brandon Duval put the game away with a penalty kick. Milan's win against Grosse Ile is the first in the school history. Senior Cody Chatfield assisted on the Billau goal.

Monroe 9 - Dearborn Edsel Ford  4

 Kyle Yinger and Nick Tyson scored 3 each while Jordan McBee added 2  and Niklas Franken scored 1 and assisted on 4.  Monroe improves to 16-2-1 overall and 7-2-1 in the Mega Red.

A Mega White Conference game played at Anderson. An injury riddled Titan team managed to find a way to win this game. Against an evenly matched opponent. The Titans showed great heart, in a tense, gut wrenching game. Coming from behind. Scoring twice in the 2nd half. Josh Cox scored the hat trick for the Titans. Corey Neubauer, and Joel Martin each scored for the Marauders. Anderson improves to 7-6-2 overall. 6-0-2 Mega White. Carlson is now 7-7-1 overall. 4-4-0 Mega White.

Anchor Bay defeated Utica Ford in a tough MAC Red battle 3-2.  The Tars went up 3-0 only to watch a spirited Ford fight back to 3-2.  Ryan Spagnoulo, Ryan Kensicki, and Matt Wojciechowski scored for Anchor Bay.

The Oscoda Owls soccer team dropped their second match of the year to Standish Wednesday night, at home, 4-2.  Standish jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead that the Owls never recovered from.  Standish scored twice more in the second half to take a commanding 4-0 lead.  Oscoda did get on the scoreboard in the 64th and 69th minutes with goals from Josh Hodges and Danny Jurkiewicz.  Jon Jack picked up an assist on the Jurkiewicz goal.  Oscoda fall to 6-8-1 overall and 4-6 in NEMC play.  They are off until Monday when the travel to Pinconning and Wednesday they will play in Tawas.

 Jacob Stanko scored the first half goal for OCS from a free kick with the second half goal coming from Mitchell Dale, assisted by Danny Lee.  Kramer Everett, OCS Keeper, recorded his 5th shutout on the season. The OCS Lancers overall record is 13-4 and 4-2 in the MIAC Conference.

Notre Dame Prep 3 - Bishop Foley 1

In a battle for the AA Championship, Notre Dame Prep dominated from start to finish.  Freshman Tyler Stephens scored the lone Venture goal and Joey Reyes was strong in goal to keep things close.  With the win, D-3's 8th ranked team, Notre Dame Prep claims the outright AA title and #1 seed for the CHSL D-2 Playoffs.  Bishop Foley had won the AA the previous 2 years. 
Notre Dame Prep will host the #4 seed Shrine Monday at 7:00 in a CHSL Semifinal game.  #3 seed Bishop Foley will travel to Ann Arbor Richard to take on the Intersectional Champs in the other Semifinal at 4:30pm.  The winners will meet Wednesday at Notre Dame Prep at 5:30. With the loss, Bishop Foley finishes its league season at 5-3.  Its overall record now sits at 7-7.  The Ventures will host Utica Thursday at 7:00pm.

The Ventures played strong and controlled the play, but neither team could find the back of the goal.  Sophomore Alan Wisniewski recorded the shutout for the Ventures, his 2nd in as many days.  Bishop Foley finishes the league season in 2nd place with a 2-1-3 record.  Overall, the Ventures are now 5-3-5.  Bishop Foley will next host Utica at 5:30pm Thursday.

Country Day 3 - Flint Carman Ainsworth 1

Country Day 1st half goals by Brett Bukari and John Rogers (assist Abe Fadel).  Eziekel Harris scored for Carman-Ainsworth before Kyle Alsup scored the insurance goal for DCDS.  Country Day’s record is 12 – 3 -2.  Carman-Ainsworth’s  record is 6-6-3.

 Avondale sealed up at least a share of the OAA D3 title with a 3-0 win over the host Hawks.  Steve Bohne netted the first two goals on assists from Omar Smadi and Johnny Nofs.  Rees Williams scored the last goal on an assist from Eric Mulders.  Avondale (14-2-1, 8-0-0 OAA3) hosts D3 #1 Flint Powers on Wednesday

The Barons earned the victory in this OAA Div. III league game. Jake Barnett finished the game with 2 goals (Andrew Frank, Yusuke Yagi). Also scoring for Andover were Brian Day (Doug Riddle), Zach Wyzgoski, Yusuke Yagi (Lev Beltser), and Curtis Beachum (Jimmy Najia). West Bloomfield's goal came from Josh Lorence (Luke Hartman). Andover is now 8-3-2 overall (5-2-0 OAA III). West Bloomfield moves to 4-11-0 overall (2-6-0 OAA III).

In an evenly matched first 40 minutes of play that saw only one score by Orion's Scott Morris just before the end of the first half, the second half broke wide open with two more goals from Lake Orion (Losee and Schrauben) and three goals by Stoney Creek (Norman and Tyler).  Stoney Creek is 3-4-2 in OAA-1 league play (7-5-3 over-all), while Lake Orion is 2-4-3 in OAA-1 league play (4-5-3 over-all).

On Senior night the Railsplitters earned a victory with goals from Josh Ritchey, Justin Ritchey and Brian Bush.  Assists went to Travis Smith, Josh Ritchey and Markus Komma.  Bryce Brown played an awesome game in net.  Railsplitters extend their record to 8-4-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the SEC white division.  Lincoln plays at Pioneer on Thursday October 4 at 5:30pm.

Southgate Anderson 2 - Taylor Kennedy 1

A Mega White Conference game played at Anderson. A hard fought game by both teams. Either team could have won this game. The difference was Josh Cox's 35 yd. shot just under the cross bar on the far corner, with 15 min. left in the first half. Jared McCord, and Josh Cox each scored for Anderson. RC Arsclide scored for Kennedy. Anderson improves to 6-6-2 overall. 5-0-2 Mega White. Kennedy is now 11-1-1 overall. 5-1-1 Mega White.

Ann Arbor Greenhills 1 - Lutheran Westland 0  

  Alex Kuwada banged in the game-winning goal with an assist by Rob Dolot in the second half. Charlie DeChants got the shut-out. Greenhills improves to 8-3-3.  Lutheran Westland falls to 8-4-3.

St. Clair Shores Lakeview 2 - Roseville 0

Lakeview goals from senior midfielder Tom Lambert and senior midfielder Greg Norrod, both assisted by senior forward Brandon Herber. Senior goal keeper Kris Trombley earned the shutout in goal. Lakeview goes to 7-0 (12-2 overall) in the MAC Blue Division, Roseville falls to 1-6 (6-10-1 overall).

Farmington  7 - Clarenceville 0

Ferndale 2 - SCS Lake Shore 1

Ferndale's varsity soccer gutted out a 2-1 victory over Lake Shore in what were less than ideal conditions. Scoring for the Eagles were Rhen Clendening in the first half to tie the score and Danny Herrick put the Eagles up for good 20 minutes in to the second half. Playing well in goal and earning the win was Ryan Kott who had 10 saves on the day. The win brings the Eagles record to 7-3-3 for the season. Up next is a home game vs. Pontiac Central on Thursday @ 5.

Northville 3 - Walled Lake Western 0

The rain never let up and neither did the Mustangs; scoring for  Northville were Doug Beason, Jeff Cheslik, and Alex Marilley.
Western keeper Mark Lariviere made 13 spectacular saves.  Northville  Keeper Jarrod Daul earned his 5th shutout in  6 wins with 4 saves. Walled Lake is now 8 - 6 - 1.  Northville is now 12 - 1 - 4.

Country Day 3 - Flint Powers 3

 Powers (ranked # 1) and Country Day (ranked # 2) in Division III played to a 3-3 tie.  Powers goals scored by Mason Meyer (2) and Michael Serven. Country Day goals were credited to Abe Fadel (2) and Kyle Alsup.  Powers record is 5-4-5.  Country Day’s record is 11-3-2.

Fowlerville 8 - Ionia 0

In a Mega Red Conference game at Woodhaven, both teams fought out a hard earned tie.  The constant rain throughout the game made it tough for both teams but playing on the artificial grass helped some.  It was a very intense game with both teams trying to break the deadlock as both teams are caught in a three way tie for third place in the Mega Red.  Both teams had some excellent chances...some sadly missed chances at that, but both goalkeepers played excellent.  The spectators had their money's worth in this game.  (It was not free)  A very fair result and great credit to both teams.  Dustin Salliotte had the shut-out for Woodhaven, while Daniel Horton had Crestwood blanking.  Excellent performances from Warrior players..Tim Vella, Vinny DiResta, Zach Fuzy, A.J. Bertani, Chris Oberdorf, Shane Theisen, Juan Camarena, Brian Hegedus, Mike Toupin and Dustin Salliotte.   Warriors season record stands at Mega Red..4-5-1. Overall..9-7-1.  Crestwood Mega Red..3-2-4

 

Seaholm 3 - North Farmington 0

Tonight, under a steady downpour at North Farmington, Seaholm defeated the Raiders 3-0.  The win improves Seaholm's record to 9-4-1 (6-2-1 OAA, Division 2).  Details are as follows: Junior Chase Panosian scored off an assist from Junior, Kevin Buxton with 37:20 remaining in the first half. Seaholm 1 - North Farmington 0. Junior, Jake Dangovian scored his first of two goals with 11:42 remaining in the first half off a throw-in from Senior, Co-Captain, Brian Finley.  Seaholm 2 - North Farmington 0. Halftime Score:  Seaholm 2 - North Farmington 0. Jake Dangovian rebounded his own shot and scored with 19:17 remaining in the game.  Seaholm 3 - North Farmington 0 Goal Keepers: Seaholm:  Evan Tylinda 3 Saves, Jentzen Mehl 1 Save North Farmington:  Matt Joseph 3 Saves, Todd Jaffe 1 Save.  Seaholm plays its next game tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7:00PM against Birmingham Groves at Maple Field.

Carlson Marauders 9 - Lincoln Park Railsplitters 3

 Mega White Conference game at Lincoln Park. The Marauders got on the scoreboard quickly on an unassisted goal by Joel Martin, 2 minutes into the game. Lincoln Park's Alexis Espita scored only 1 minute later. Carlson got the next goal at the 8 minute mark from Sean Falkenberg, assisted by Justin Hunter. Once again, Lincoln Park tied the game on a goal at the 13 minute mark by #15. Carlson added three more goals before halftime and took a 5-2 lead. After both teams once again traded goals at the 52 minute mark by Carlson and 56 minute mark by Lincoln Park (Octavio Palomino), Carlson finished the game with three additional goals. Carlson goals were scored by Joel Martin with 3 goals and 2 assists; Sean Falkenberg with 2 goals and 1 assist; Pat Lancaster with 2 goals; Phillip Johnson with 1 goal and 2 assists; Derrick Zambo with 1 goal; 1 assit each from Levi Hatfield and Justin Hunter. Carlson improves it's overall record to 7-6-1 and 4-3-0 in the MEGA White. Lincoln Park record drops to 3-6-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the MEGA White. Carlson's next match is Wednesday night at Garden City.

In Flint, Athens gained their 6th victory against 8 losses as Cameron Alman recorded a pair of goals. Matt Hill and Mike Barton each added single tallies while Andre Bezerra recorded the teams' 5th shutout of the season. Athens will play host to Stoney Creek on Thursday night.
