Troy's goals were scored by Nicole Vallianatos (Madeline Wideman), Megan Pines, Emily Dzik (Chelsea Holland) and Taylor Fracassa (Nicole Vallianatos). Brittany Chaklos recorded the shutout in her first start of the season at Keeper. Troy's record improves to 9-4-4 (4-4-4 OAA1). Lake Orion is now 2-7-2 OAA1.

They outshot Davison 26-3.Scoring came from Darius Thompson(2) Allyssa Fulton (1) and Katelin Raymond(1). assists were Alannah Turner (2) Kirsten Hass (1) and Hillary Procunier (1) Molly DeMarr got her 12th shutout of the season..The hornets are now 12-2-3 and 5-1-1 Big 9. They have out scored their opponents 53-7 so far year great job GIRLS!

It was "Senior Night" at Riverbank Stadium as Ann Arbor
Huron hosted Bedford in a match between two SEC Red teams. In
the River Rats last home game of the season, they got two goals
from Helen Steinhauser and one goal from Meg Boyer to beat the
Kicking Mules 3-0. With the win, Huron finishes the home
portion of their 2008 season undefeated at home and picks up
their eighth shutout of the season. Huron improves their record
to 9-1-2 (8-0-1 SEC).

Trenton travelled to Gibraltar Carlson in a Mega white
match up coming off a run of 4 successive shut outs in league play. The
first half saw the visiting Trojans struggle to get a grip on the game and
in a scrappy affair by both sides, few clear scoring opportunities were
created with the play bogged down in midfield. Half time Gibraltar Carlson 0
Trenton. The second half saw Trenton pass the ball around better but they
failed to find the final ball in the offensive third and the Carlson defense
dealt with them comfortably. Both sides had opportunities in the last 10
minutes, but in a disappointing game, the final score ended Gibraltar
Carlson 0 Trenton 0. Stevie Burns had the shut out for the Trojans, her 5th
in a row.

Woodhaven JV Warrior's continued their winning ways with a 6-1 victory against Redford Union. Lauren Badalamente scored 2 goals. Brooke Austin, Heather Washelewski, Candice Bresnahan and Caitlin Attard all chipped in with a goal. Allison Krolicki had 2 assists. Brooke Austin, Heather Lorence, Caitlin Attard and Kaytia Oberdorf all had an assist. Christine Dombrowski, Courtney Lukasik, Rachel Banks and Maegan Sawicki were outstanding on defense for the 11-0-4 Warrior's.
Cranbrook 5 - Clarenceville 0
In the first round of the Metro Conference tournament, Cranbrook faced off against Clarenceville. The game started slow but Becky Ostosh got the game rolling and scored the first goal on an assist from Kelsey Martin. Ariel Roddy scored 2 goals unassisted. Kelsey Martin scored 2 goals; one assist from Casey Miller and one assist from Ariel Roddy. Abby Cohen earned her 8th shutout.
Woodhaven 1 - Redford Thurston 0
The Warriors clinched all three points in this Mega Red Conference game against a feisty Thurston squad. Well played game by both teams. The Warriors of Woodhaven jumped out to a quick start when Presley Hana hit a low left footed shot to the keepers right side, with less than two minutes into the game. This was assisted by Hilary Harubin. One great chance from the Warriors saw the ball strike the underside of the crossbar but not crossing the line. Other nice opportunities by the Warriors but good defensive work by Thurston. Half time....1-0. Second half still a fast paced game, the Warriors created some nice chances with slick through balls but the Thurston keeper played well, stopping several break-aways. Chelsea Barnes came the closest to scoring when she hit the cross bar from about 22 yards out. Both teams worked hard but no more goals. Shelby Jackson had the Warrior shut-out. Good performances from Warrior players...Shelby Jackson, Hilary Harubin, Presley Hana, Erin Decker, Brooke Brennan, Jaime Lambrix, Macie Carevic, Bijanka Islami, Kelly Rossi and Candice Mink. Bailey Brandon scored the first of her 2 goals 1:07 into the game as host Churchill posted the 5-0 victory to move their overall record to 14-1-2 (8-1-1 in Lakes Division). Kayla Johnston finished with 1 goal and 2 assists, while Callie Mack and Darcy DeRoo rounded out the scoring. Churchill hosts Northville in the WLAA Conference Championship Wednesday May 21st at 7pm.
Walled Lake Northern 1 - Livonia Stevenson 0
In Commerce Twp., a strong defense and outstanding goaltending helped Walled Lake Northern get the 1-0 win over Livonia Stevenson. In the second half Trish Bender had a beautiful goal assisted by Karleen Herbst. Northern's Payj O'Shea earned her 9th shutout this season. Northern overall record: 10-4-2 League: 7-3-0

Hartland 7 - Howell 2
In this KVC battle the Eagles were led by four goals by Hailey Pleshakov and one each by Kimm Ford, Allison Button, and Haileigh Holderness from assists by Kassie Ford and Sarah Pacholski. Howell’s goals were both scored by Rosie Pruzinsky. The Eagles are now 5-7-3 overall and 3-4-2 KVC while Howell falls to 2-6-4 overall and 0-5-4 KVC. The Eagles next battle Pinckney at Hartland on Friday.

In a Catholic League Semi-Final, junior forward Alessia Vagnini scored in the 25th minute for Ladywood (8-4-4). Junior goalkeeper Michele Ring made 8 saves to earn her 7th shut-out of the season. Gabriel Richard drops to 15-3-2 overall. Ladywood will play the winner of Notre Dame Prep/Marian on Saturday at 2pm @ Livonia Ladywood in the Catholic League Championship Game

Ann Arbor Huron 1 - Saline 0
Ann Arbor Huron (currently ranked #8 in the recent Division 1 soccer rankings) traveled to Saline (currently ranked #9 in the recent Division 1 soccer rankings) on Tuesday night to play the Hornets for the second time in less than two weeks. The River Rats controlled the play for most of the game, just missing on three or four good opportunities when the Saline goalkeeper made some great saves. However, Huron kept up the pressure for the entire 80 minutes and their hard work paid off when Becca Pidgeon scored the game winner with 53 seconds left in the game. The River Rats outshot the Hornets 14-5 as they get their seventh shutout of the season and improve their record to 8-1-2 (7-0-1 SEC). Saline goes to 8-5-2 (5-3-2 SEC).

The Athens Redhawks regained the OAA division 1 title with a 3-1 victory over Rochester last night. The victory gives Athens its' 5th title in the last 10 years and ends Rochester's 3 year consecutive run. Seniors Jordyn Bazin and Megan Amann had a goal and an assist while senior Brit MacLennan tallied the other goal with senior Chelsea Steffens drawing an assist. The win leaves Athens with a 10-1-3 overall record and 8-1-2 league mark. Rochester's lone goal was scored by Laura Fant. The Falcons are 9-3-3 and 6-2-3.

The Eagles scored early to secure the win. Hailey Pleshakov scored twice while Kassie Ford added a goal with two assists and Haleigh Holderness and Alison Button each scored once. Erica Logan had four saves as the defense had their first shutout of the season.

The visiting Farmington Falcons won the City Championship title in a 2 – 0 victory over home team North Farmington Raiders Monday night. Both of the Falcon strikes came in the beginning half of play with the first score coming from an Andrea Groves header off a well placed free kick by Kirsten Evans. The insurance goal came 8 minutes later as Kirsten Evans beat the Raider defenders to send a riveting shot to the back of the net.

Shrine 3 - Oakland Christian 1
Shrine played a strong 2nd half to defeat Oakland Christian 3-1. Liz Erdman, Elyse Moon and Mackenzie Glaros scored for Shrine with 2 assists coming from Emily Guirey and the other from Cathy Della Lucia. Keeper Sarah Obudzinski had 5 saves for Shrine. Andrea Polite had the lone goal for Oakland Christian with the assist coming from keeper Roshalle VanDorp. Roshalle had 9 saves for OCS.

Cristina Kovich scored the first two goals and had an assist for the Red Devils. Freshman Bessa Ziberi also had two goals and an assist. Kelsey Sassack had two assists and a goal, and Sarah Harwood had the final goal. Additional assists were by Kelly Nelson and Emily Dixon. In a Mega Red Conference game, the Thunderbirds of Edsel Ford tied with their host, Woodhaven Warriors. Good pace and intensity by both teams. Play moved back and forth in the first half with very few opportunities by either squad....except with less than a minute to go in the first half, the Warriors scored on a Candice Mink header from a Renee Morrison corner kick. Half time 1-0. Second half, both teams fought hard. Edsel tied the game around the 8 minute mark on a through ball. At the 16 minute mark, The Warriors went ahead again on a hard shot from Limoza Islami, assisted by Candice Mink. Edsel tied the game once again with 7 minutes left in the game. Both teams came close on several occasions but no more goals. Tied game, probably a fair result for both teams. Playing well for the Woodhaven team were Bijanka Islami, Candice Mink, Presley Hana, Limoza Islami, Kelly Rossi, Brooke Brennan, Jaime Lambrix, Hilary Harubin, Kailey Smedo, Erin Decker and Shelby Jackson. Seniors Julia Bawden (2 goals, 1 assist), Lydia Blair (2 goals,
1 assist), Sarah Stern (2 goals, 4 assists), and Theresa
Yankovich (1 goal) led the Mustangs to a 8 - 0 win over the
Patriots. Also scoring was Lauren Lokey; other assists were made
by Samantha Mustonen and Amy Sweetapple. Keeper Katherine Jansen
earned her 7th shutout in 8 wins. Northville is now 13 - 0 - 2.

Livonia Churchill and Livonia Stevenson battled to a 2-2 draw in the Lakes division of the WLAA. Churchill sits at 13-1-2 overall, 7-1-1 in the division. For Churchill, Alyssa Mira and Callie Mack scored, while Rachel Stevens and Sam Gutkowski recorded goals for Stevenson, who are 3-4-2 in the division.

Oscoda 3 - Houghton Lake 2
Monday night the Owls picked up their fifth win of the season as they defeated Houghton Lake, 3-2. The two squads played 40 minutes without a goal being scored in the first half. The Owls opened the scoring in the 49th minute when Rushelle Sidebottom stole the ball around midfield and weaved her way through traffic, found daylight and blasted a shot past the goalkeeper. The Owls' excitement was shortlived as Houghton Lake tied the match just five minutes later when Kristin Backelman netted the ball with a lob shot over Oscoda keeper, Nicole Jackson. Fired up, the Sidebottom made another run at the defense and when stalled, dropped the ball back to Erika Nolff who banged a shot into the net from 25 yards out. Less than a minute later Nolff found striker Tricia McDonald for her 10th goal of the year. Nolff and Sidebottom were both credited with assists. Houghton Lake pulled within one at the 71st minute mark when Backelman again hit from way outside with another lob shot. The Owls frantically played defense for the last nine minutes to earn the win. "We took control from the opening kickoff and through a solid team effort gained a victory," was how coach Gary Schneider summed up the action. "We took plenty of shots (21 total) but need to cash in on the scoring opportunities that we create. The final score does not represent how well we controlled the entire match." The Owls defense was led by Nolff with 14 steals and 10 intercepts. Katia Kotula followed with 7 steals and 8 intercepts. Aubrey Thurston had 5 steals. Margaret Negro and Jodie Astrom both had 6 intercepts. Jackson finished with 11 saves in net. The Owls travel to Bangor Township on Wednesday to face Bay City John Glenn who remain undefeated in NEMC play this season. The Owls then host Ogemaw on Saturday at 1:00pm in another conference match-up. The Owls improve to 5-6 overall and 3-5 in the NEMC.

Woodhaven JV Soccer continued its winning ways with a 2-0 victory
over Edsel Ford. Lauren Badalamente and Heather Washalewski each had
a goal and an assist. Goalies Caitlin Attard and Holly Miller shared
the shutout. Megan Hummel, Megan Perry, Courtney Lukasik, Rachel
Banks and Amanda Barnes were outstanding defensively for the 10-0-4
Warrior's.

Grand Ledge is 11-4-2 overall and earns 3rd place in the CAAC Blue.
Monroe 5 - St Mary Catholic Central 0
Monroe beat their cross town rivals St Mary Catholic Central 5-1 at Comboni field. Abby McCollum scored four times and Rachel Fraunhoffer scored from a penalty after Kate Gladieux was brought down. Gladieux and Heidi Heiser had the other assists.Jenna Sexton at full back and Hanna Firchau at sweeper played outstandingly for the 13-2-1 Trojans. Nicole Boggs scored a late consolation penalty for the Kestrels.

Ithaca's goal was scored by Paige Beracy while Angie Smith had 14 saves for Ithaca. Freeland outshot Ithaca 18-3. Ithaca's overall and TVC West record is 7-2-2.

Berkley scored two goals in the first half, both scored by senior
Westbrook Walendzik. Halftime score 2-0. Groves scored on a long
free kick to close the the gap, but Berkley's defense stood strong
to win 2-1. Berkley is now 8-5-2 overall.

Lamphere recorded their ninth shut out, and seventh divisional, tenth overall, win of the MAC Gold season. As South Lake lost their third divisional, fifth overall, three to zero. The first goal scored was Katlyn Krysiak’s thirteenth of the season, chipping the ball over the charging keeper form the right side of the penalty area, unassisted in the eighteenth minute of the first half. First half ended, up by one goal and outshooting Lake Shore six to three. The Shorians applied the pressure in the first twenty minutes of the second half, and Ram’s keeper, Sophomore Megan Campbell, stepped up to the challenge. She made two sensational athletic saves in the second half (and one in the first half), as well as an aggressive corner kick clear to keep Lake Shore off the board. Later in the second half, the Lamphere Freshmen stepped up and scored two goals in two minutes. In the sixty seventh minute, Senior Kaley Lockhart started the play from the back, and Juanita Manriquez scored her ninth of the season on the break away. A minute and a half later, Cara Harm scored her sixth of the season from a cross by Katlyn Krysiak (sixth assist). Shots were fifteen to fourteen in favor of Lamphere, and eight saves for the Rams keeper, seven for the Shorian net tender. Division 3. This was a non-league game. DeWitt jumped out to a 2-0 lead
and carried possession throughout most of the game. Williamston picked
up the intensity in the last 10 minutes of the game and scored to make
it interesting with about 6-7 minutes to go. Williamston then applied
pressure till the end of the game, but was unable to get the equalizer.

Groves got on the board midway through the first half. Jane Layton
crossed a ball in front of the goal Karly Fraser got a foot on it in
front of the goalie that allowed freshmen Carly Day to hit it into the
back of the net to record her first varsity goal. Half 1-0. GPS got the
equalizer midway into the 2nd half. Groves came back about 10 minutes
later and got what turned out to be the game winner. Groves strung
together about 7 passes to work the ball up the field. The ball got
crossed into the box by Haley Celosky and Daria McDonald was there to
slide and knock the ball across the line.

free kick was played by Senior Brittany De Rupa, over the Allen Park
defense, and Freshman Olivia Gardner ran from deep to latch on to the

In a CHSL quarterfinal in Ann Arbor the Marlins of Mercy got on the board first at the 34' mark of the first half when Kristie Racinski scored on a breakaway by tucking it under the Gabriel Richard keeper Anna Zekany. The Irish got the equalizer with 13 minutes to go in the first half, with Kristen Goncalves scoring and Martha Sorenson assisting. Kristen Goncalves scored again on a PK with 7 seconds remaining in the first half after being taken down in the box by a Mercy defender. The Irish scored two more in the second half, Natalia Collins(Kristen Goncalves) and Kristen Goncalves(Sarah Sorenson). The Irish will play on Tuesday in the CHSL semifinal against the Ladywood-Bishop Foley winner at 6pm at home. The Irish are now 15-2-2.

Belleville hosted the Trenton Trojanettes in a Mega White Showdown. On a rainy evening the only goal of the game was scored by Laura Drabczyk on a PK. Belleville committed a handling violation inside of their penalty area. Stevie Burns notched her second shutout in two games. The Trenton defense held strong with great effort put in by Brittany DeRupa, Sara Stein, Dori Castignola, Janae Kolias, and Emily Sauter. Trenton is now 4-2-1 in the Mega League and Belleville is 1-6-1. Trenton faces off against Allen Park, looking for their third win of the week on Friday at home and Belleville sees action at Carlson on Monday.

The Carlson girls JV soccer team travelled to Monroe for a MEGA White conference match. The last time these teams met, they were both undefeated and had not allowed a goal against. That match ended as a 0-0 tie. This time, the Marauders have lost 3 games coming into the match, but Monroe has remained unbeaten and has only allowed one goal against. This was another up and down the field game that ended as a 0-0 tie. Monroe hit one goal post late in the game and was stopped by Brianna Beck in net on a penalty kick. Next match for Carlson will be at Taylor Kennedy on Friday. Carlson improves their overall record to 6-3-3 and 5-2-2 in the conference playing 8 of these 12 matches as shutouts.

Monroe ran its record in the Mega White to 9-0 with a 6-0 win over Gibraltar Carlson. The match was evenly balanced for the first 20 minutes with the closest to a goal being Megan Thornton's shot off the post following a great run and cross by Chelsea Murray. Monroe finally broke through when midfielder Kate Gladieux got forward and beat the goalkeeper with a shot from just inside the penalty box. Abby McCollum scored three times in the second half taking her season total to 23 to put the game away.. Kate Gladieux added another and Jenna Sexton scored in the last minute to round out the scoring. Assists were provided by Jessica Sexton, Hanna Firchau, Abby McCollum,Kate Gladieux and Jenna Sexton.Emily Howe recorded her 4th shutout in a row. Monroe is now 12-2-1 on the season.

The Owls dropped their NEMC match to the Braves on Wednesday night, 6-1. "I'm highly disappointed that the team didn't show up to play our biggest rivals," was Coach Gary Schneider's reaction to the results. "That was a completely lackluster performance!" The Owls drop to 3-6 overall and 3-5 in conference play. The Owls were coming off a three game win streak. The one bright spot for the Owls came off the foot of midfielder Krystin Inman who scored her first varsity goal at the 19 minute mark. By that point Tawas was already leading 4-0. They quickly went back up by four goals three minutes later and added the sixth goal in the second half. Oscoda managed just six total shots to Tawas' twenty-one. Four of Oscoda's shots came outside of the Penalty Box. Oscoda's next match will be Monday night in Houghton Lake for a non-conference game.

In a Mega Conference cross-over game at Woodhaven, the Warriors were able to sneak a narrow win from the visiting Taylor Kennedy Eagles. The Warriors had the bulk of the possession but it was the Kennedy defense who stood tall. The Warriors notched what turned out to be the game winner at the 20 minute mark when Macie Carevic fired a hard shot from about 30 yards out, catching the Eagles keeper off guard. This was assisted by Kelly Rossi. A little while later, the Kennedy keeper made a great save from Presley Hana when she was able to push a hard high shot up onto the crossbar. Half time 1-0. Second half, some close calls on the Kennedy goal but their keeper, along with her tough defense, played an excellent game shutting down the Warriors offense. Renee Morrison came close for the Woodhaven squad when she hit the goal post from a free-kick. Shelby Jackson had the Warrior shut-out. Solid performances from Warrior players Presley Hana, Erin Decker, Brooke Brennan, Jaime Lambrix, Hilary Harubin and Candice Mink. The Woodhaven season record stands at 9-4-1 o/all.

Junior forward Haley Silver tied it up with a 30 yard sprint with the ball and a driving shot assisted by fellow forward Sophomore Hallie Taylor. The two team traded chances when Sophomore defender, Aidan Keenan scored a beautiful goal from 15 yards out following a Silver corner kick. The tenacious work of Sarah Seiler, Rachel Reem and Megan Choraczewski help protect Keeper Jackie Wojewoda...(Seaholm center back by trade) who stepped in for two injured Maple keepers. Jackie had 10 saves on the night.

Berkley extended their win streak to 4 with a 3-1 win against visiting West Bloomfield Tuesday night. Sophomore Natalie Zimmerman scored the 2 goals in the second half to give the Bears a 2-0 lead. West Bloomfield put a goal away to close the gap at 2-1. Just minutes later, Sophomore Stephanie Sabell scored to put the game away 3-1. Berkley is now 7-4-2 overall and 5-3-2 in OAA III.

Hard fought Mega Red Conference game at Woodhaven. The Cougars of Garden City jumped out to a quick two goal lead in the first six minutes of the match, capitalizing on mistakes by the Warriors defense. Woodhaven settled down and played some nice soccer, coming close on one occasion when Renee Morrison hit the goal post. Very fast paced game with both defenses playing tough. Half time 0-2. Second half, the Warriors came out with some desperation in their play. Limoza Islami scored a nice goal in under two minutes when she worked past several defenders before picking a corner, this was assisted by her sister, Bijanka Islami. With less than seven minutes gone in the second half, Bijanka Islami scored from around the six yard line with a low shot, assisted by Candice Mink. Play went back and forth for most of the half. Around the 25th minute mark, Renee Morrison hit the crossbar from a free-kick. Time was winding down and it looked like a tie was in the offing, Limoza Islami picked up a pass from Nicole Rodriguez about 30 yards out and worked past 3 defenders on the left side, drew the keeper out and slid the ball into the net with just over two minutes left in the game. Well played game by both teams. Excellent performances from Warrior players Renee Morrison, Shelby Mathers, Nicole Rodriguez, Sarah Pytel, Limoza Islami, Candice Mink and Alainna Bresnahan. The Oscoda Lady Owls won their third straight match on Monday night when they blanked visiting Gladwin Skeels Christian, 7-0. Three Owls scored their first career goals on Monday. Freshman Dani Griffin, sophomore Kelli Lehman and senior Jodie Astrom all hammered home their first ever scores. The rest of the goals were scored by team leaders, Rushelle Sidebottom and Tricia McDonald. Both Tricia and Rushelle scored two each. Aubrey Thurston and Erika Nolff each earned two assists. Kayla Young and McDonald picked up one assist each. Margaret Negro faced four excellent Skeels shots in the first half and stopped all four to earn the win in goal. She was spelled in the last 14 minutes by McDonald but Tricia never saw a shot. The Owls meanwhile took 28 shots on goal and controlled the majority of the ball time. Nolff led the defense with eight steals and five intercepts. Katia Kotula flipped that total with five steals and eight intercepts. The Owls travel to Tawas on Wednesday to face the Braves in NEMC play. Oscoda's record now stands at 4-5 overall and 3-4 in Conference play.

Holly Miller recorded her fourth shutout of the season.
Candice Breshnahan, Caitlin Attard and Allison Krolicki played superior
for the 8-0-3 Warrior's.

Trenton and Taylor Truman faced off in a MEGA white showdown in Trenton. The Trojanettes came out and controlled much of the game against an ailing Taylor Truman Team. Taylor faced many injuries and only were able to field 11 players and one sub for the entire game. Trenton Freshman Emily Sauter was able to connect with Sophmore Elyssa Weigand to open the scoring for Trenton. Later Weigand passed the ball to Freshman Olivia Gardner for the second goal. Then Senior Laura Drabczyk passed to Weigand, scoring again. Closing out the first half scoring was Drabczyk unassisted. Taylor Truman came out with a more defensive lineup in the second half and was able to shutdown the Trenton offense. Other Freshman Sarah Pylkas and Allison Bacso played well, with Bacso almost scoring off of a corner taken by Senior Alyson Kiselis on a header that just went over the crossbar. Senior Stevie Burns had an outstanding evening, including several key saves along with a save on a Penalty. Trenton is now 3-2-1 in the Mega and 3-6-2 overall. Trenton travels to Belleville on Wednesday.

Western turned up the heat in the second half after a sluggish 1-0 first
half start. Chelsea Hunter was all over the pitch having three assists
in the game and a goal from a beautiful shot taken just inside the
corner flag. Jenny Shaba had three goals in the match giving her 15 in
total for the season. Lindsay Clark scored on a breakaway setup by
Hunter and Senior Jodi Stratton had an assist in the game as well.
Senior Sweeper Lindsay Lowe played strong in the back and distributed
the ball wide and out of danger and Keeper Jessica Gatten made several
key saves late in the game in preserving the shutout.
Western is now 8-4-1 overall, 6-3-1 WLAA and 5-2 in the Western
Division.

For Milford, sophomore forward Michelle Dant scored 3 times, senior Macy Hubbard scored and assisted, and sophomore Ryan Winn assisted twice. For Pinckney, goals were from junior Lindsay Meyer and senior Jessica Black. The keeper for Milford was Angie Pasciolla, and for Pinkney was Jenn Poelstra. Milford's record is now 4-5-2 (3-3-2 KVC), and Pinckney fell to 4-3-2 (3-3-2 KVC).

Huron scored first in the first half of play 16 minutes into the first half, Helen Steinhauser scored off a cross from Rachel Vandermade to put the River Rats ahead 1-0. Brighton scored both their goals in the second half of play by Jenny Giegler with an assist from Merideth Wetterholt and again Jenny Giegler with an assist from Alyssa Curtis. Huron then changed their formation and put more pressure up top, which resulted in Meg Boyer scoring the tying goal with just over 3 minutes to go in the game. The River Rats are now 6-1-2 (5-0-1 SEC). The Bulldogs next game will be Wednesday, May 7 @ 7 PM at home on Sloan Field vs South Lyon.

South Lyon hosted Hartland Monday evening and used two first half goals to win 2-0. Megan Morad got the Lions on the board 11 minutes into the game with an assist from Jenna Virant. Seventeen minutes later Mary Dedakis was able to win the ball behind Hartland's defense and get a shot on goal, Whitley Nichols followed the shot and found Erin Hawkins who put in the second goal. The Lions played tough defense from their on out. Keeper Katie Williams made a great diving save late in the game to preserve the shutout (her 7th, teams 8th). The Lions are now 8-4-2 overall and 3-2-2 in the KVC. Hartland is 2-5-3 overall and 1-4-2 in the KVC.

Rivers falls to 6-2, 3-2.

(4-4-1/6-4-1) their forth division loss. First half goals were
scored by senior Ashley Moats (her second of the season) and
Junior Tracey Farin (her third of the season), both goals were
assisted by sophomore Lauren Barlog (takes her to six assists on
the year). The first assist from a free kick 25 yards out and
the second assist off a cross from Freshman Allyse Franks (her
first assist of the season) which Lauren one touched through to
Tracey. In the second half, Lamphere added two more, starting
with a well placed PK off the foot of freshman Juanita Manriquez
(her eighth goal) and then freshman Cara Harm collected a
rebound for the goal (her fifth of the season). L’Anse Creuse
spoiled the shut out for Megan Campbell with only three minutes
to go, with a nice headed in goal. Shots favored L'Anse Creuse
18 to 13, while Lamphere’s keeper made 6 saves to L’Anse Creuse

as Livonia Churchill raised its record to 10-1-1 with the 1-0 victory
over Rochester Adams. Stefanie Turner recorded her 8th shutout of the
year, making 5 saves. Woodhaven 3 - Trenton 0 In a Mega Conference
cross-over game, the Warriors of Woodhaven clinched a solid win over
their local rivals. The Warriors came out strong and shut-down the
Trojan offense, not allowing a single shot on goal in the first half.
The Warriors broke the ice with a goal at the 23 minute mark, coming off
a corner kick when Hilary Harubin fired home from close range following
a nice corner to the far post by Renee Morrison. Five minutes later,
the Warriors scored directly from a corner when Erin Decker curved a
nice ball to the far top corner. The Warriors came close on numerous
opportunities but the Trenton keeper, Stevie Burns played excellent.
Half time 2-0. Second half, the Warriors pressed immediately and hit
the goalpost within two minutes but continued with some nice passing and
good shots on the Trenton goal. While the Warriors controlled most of
the play, Trenton pressed for about a 10 minute period while the
Warriors were resting some key players and came very close to scoring.
The Woodhaven stand-out keeper, Macie Carevic, came up with a few
excellent stops. The match stayed intense for the remainder of the game
and both sides continued to work hard. Warrior player Limoza Islami
was pulled down by two Trojan players as she broke in on goal with only
the Trenton keeper to beat. Penalty kick...converted beautifully with a
cool stroke to the right, sending the keeper the wrong way...scored by
Renee Morrison at the 27 minute mark. Macie Carevic had the shut-out
for the Warriors, her fifth of the season. The Woodhaven season record

on the back of an impressive win over state ranked Chelsea the
previous day Monroe took the game to Bedford from the kick off.

In a very physical game, Cranbrook and Clawson
battled to a tie, 1-1. Cranbrook scored first in the first half on
a goal from Ariel Roddy assisted by Rosalia Pembroke. Late in the
second half, Clawson tied the game on a penalty kick.
Cranbrook moves to 6-1-2 overall and 6-0-1 Metro Conference. Walled Lake Northern 1 - Walled Lake Central 0 At Walled Lake Central in the cross town rematch, the
Walled Lake Northern Lady Knights once again came out with the 1-0 win.
Although Northern had mulitiple scoring opportunities, the teams were
tied at the end of the first half. Christy Naife scored in the second
half with an assist from Jacqi O'Shea. Keeper Shelby Varwig had a solid
game in net for the Vikings, as did Payj O'Shea for the Knights. Payj
O'Shea earned her 7th shutout of the season. Congratulations to the
Knights on being the City Champs.

Second half goals were again by Jenny Giegler with an assist
from Ashley Racette and Ally Goble with an assist from Kristy
Morrell. Brighton's next game will be Monday, May 5 @ 7 PM at
Ann Arbor Huron.
Woodhaven JV remained undefeated in a 0-0 tie against a
tough Trenton team in a well played contest. Holly Miller recorded the
save for the 8-0-3 Warrior's. Rachel Banks, Megab Hummel, Courtney
Lukasik, Brooke Austin, Kaytia Oberdorf and Allison Krolicki were
outstanding for the Warrior's.
Kirsten Evans 2 goals, Shannon Costello & Chrissy Healy had a goal and
an assist each and Karen Piasecki added an assist. Brittany Busch &
Chelsea Moore combined for Farmington's 5th shutout of the season.
Farmington is 5-2-4.
Ann Arbor Huron hosted Saline (who is currently ranked #7 in the
recent Division 1 soccer rankings) on Friday night and handed the Hornets
their first SEC loss. With about 4 minutes left in the game the River Rats
got a goal from Lisa Masini to put Huron ahead 1-0. Huron was then able to
hold off Saline for the final 4 minutes to pick up the win. It is Huron's
fourth consecutive shutout as they improve their record to 6-1-1 (5-0-1
SEC). Saline goes to 8-2-1 (4-1-1 SEC).

Lamphere remains unbeaten (8-0-4) as the Freshman duo, Cara Harm to Katlyn
Krysiak connected for the sixth time this season, to tie the game with
thirteen minutes remaining. It was Cara Harm's team leading 9th assist, and
Katlyn Krysiak's team leading 12th goal of the season. The Mustang's scored
first near the end of the first half, when they broke through the Ram
defense at midfield and scored a break away goal. Although Lamphere
controlled most of the play (shots were 16 to 10 in the Ram's favor),
Lutheran North's keeper kept them in the game.
Dexter is now 6-2-1 (4-2-1 SEC White). Pioneer is now 4-2-4 (1-1-3 SEC Red).

Ann Arbor Huron hosted fellow SEC team Tecumseh on Thursday night and
handed the Indians a 7-0 loss. The River Rats spread the scoring around
as seven different River Rats scored. It is Huron's third consecutive
shutout as they improve their record to 5-1-1 (4-0-1 SEC).
